Politics » Wake Up Nigerians and Do the right Thing by: Ninoevans(m) .:. Mon, 01 Feb, 2021 - 05:00:43:am GMT
Nigerians need to think beyond Buhari. we need to know that removing Buhari is not what we should be thinking about rather we need to ask ourselves a very critical question " who can take Nigeria to greatness again" . we all know that the present political class has failed us over and over again. we don't need 99% of the present political class back in power. we need new ideas, values and political culture in our political sector. Unfortunately it is still the same polithiefcian that would contest for power and still win because we are not united and we have many greedy people that are ready to take peanuts to help these greedy politicians rig elections.

We don't need to transform the polity into a two party state. there are several other political party apart from APC and PDP lets give them listening ears. we need to stop selling our votes. there is a lot things to change in our society. lets start thinking beyond Buhari and begin to make up our minds to do the right thing. The earlier we decide to take the right stand, the better for us all. It is sad to see Nigeria struggling in the international comity of nations. Nigeria by this time, should be the USA of Africa where many African people will be struggling to come and live. Our passport should be well sort after and our nationals, well respected.

It is the duty of everyone to stop collecting bribe and supporting those that do. It is our duty to stand up and speak against the ills in our society. It is our duty to make the country unsafe for yahoo yahoo boyz and ritual killers, It is our duty to hold our government responsible for their actions. We can only do this by taking the responsibility of speaking up when we encounter these ills in our society. We should give our law enforcement agents quality information to bring the bad eggs in our society to justice. It is our duty to raise our children well and the community must make it uncomfortable for them to engage in crimes. If we continue to keep quiet because we are not directly affected at the moment, then things will continue to go bad and when it finally hits us, there will be no one to speak for us.

Let's wake and do the right thing now!!!

Nigeria is a  great country but the major problem we are facing is that we lack leadership all our leaders are not active enough they think about themselves only and their family members whereas in was the vote of the citizen that gave you the power in your hand.

President Muhammed bhuari also try his best but he   can't do is alone  there are some subordinate surrounding him and this people will be assigned to a particular duty to carry out out of  100% they can carry out 30 % without the notice of the President the remaining funds and resources which reminds and happen to be  70 percentage will be  emmbelzz buy the politicians then we blame it's on president Muhammed bhuari,.
It was clear that some years ago only two party are ruleing in nigeria which are the APC and PDP, if we give  another party a chance to  rule what will be the outcome are they going to implement or do the right thing, can we put our trust in them, will there tenure be better than the previous ones, will the country change for better.
Changing the political parties from  APC and PDP will not solve any problem I don't think that changing political parties will be the solution here instead we should have a good leadership style in our country Nigeria.

If we won't to wear up and do the right thing we should  look forward for a  great leadership style in our country Nigeria, chaining of the ruleing  political parties can even make things get worst.

I don't condem president Muhammed bhuari  because to be a leader is not an easy task so he try his best but only that it is not enough, another thing is that the rate of curroption in the country is not encouraging we all have to put an end to it curroption is everywhere in the country, I accepted that it is our duty  to speak out as a citizen of the country people speak out on newspaper, social media, radio and TV shows  these our so called politicians heard what the  citizen are saying buy they try to  neglect all these as if they did not hear, people are carrying everyday because  no job in town, some people can not afford the three meal in a day, some people beg before they could be able to eat, that is why we have a lot of  armed robbers out there, even our security personnel are also involved in crime which is taking bribe form criminals, what we need now is a great leadership style a leader who will listen to the cry of the citizen, a leader who will be of benefit to the country.

You're right when you say we should start looking beyond Buhari, APC and PDP. But the question is would another party be the change Nigerian seeks or would another candidate be the change we seek?

Personally, I doubt if it is a matter of just a particular political party or candidate. I believe it's more of the excessive amount of power embedded in that position.

As we all know, power intoxicates, whether you're good or bad. Now, I'm not trying to downplay the importance of the Presidency or choosing the right candidate for that seat. All, I'm saying is our focus should be more on changing the legislative system as well as amending the constitution. Our constitution gives too much power to the position of the presidency which gives them the higher possibility of abusing power. But if there were adequate checks and balances, then our country would become better regardless of who's in power. Then we can even dispose a nonfunctional president, just like it happened in United States of America and other parts of the world.

We need to stop hoping for a better future for Nigeria.

But we need to start working towards making Nigeria a better place.
The strength of a broom lies in it's bunch and not it's stick.
When we are united, nothing can stop us not even the politicians or the terrible leaders we have.
But first things first before you go outside you need to put your house in order.
Are we prepared for the change we want Nigeria to become?
Most of us are even worse than our corrupt leaders, we are not better than these politicians in any way.
The little organisations we are given the mandate to head, we eventually go there to mess things up.
We need to orientate ourselves on humility, honesty, patience, love etc.
These are virtues we need to inculcate into ourselves if we know we want to lead Nigeria to the right path.
If not, we might end up become the things we once criticized.

@ojc(E):.  Hmmmnnn..... You are right with what you just said to a certain extent.

We've got to be ready to move Nigeria to the level we want it to be.
The youths in Nigeria have what it takes to make this country great again.
But most of us are not even better than the corrupt leaders we have.
Most of us are worse than the corrupt leaders that has messed the country up.
While I was still in the university, I happened to be a student of UNILAG precisely.
We elected a student of my cohort to be the president of the faculty of education.
He made so many promises of making the faculty the best in the school but we never knew he had his own motive.
During the preparations for our dinner and award night, he called our attention to the fact that the department had no funds to sponsor the dinner night and he needed personal contributions from the students of the faculty.
The statement he made was so alarming because the faculty dues  whole student of the faculty was approximately up to 5 million naira.
The question is what did the president do with the faculty of up to 5million naira that he could not afford to organise a dinner and award night.
We confronted him and asked him what he did with the students dues been paid to the faculty.
All he could tell us was they killed cow for Freshers night, they also organised the faculty week, he also told us he was paying cleaners to clean the toilet.
                            What a misplaced priority.
It was very obvious he had embezzled the students funds he was in charge of because everything he made mention of was not up to 5million naira being paid as the faculty dues.
These are the same youths that would want to aspire to become future leaders of our nation.
The country cannot make any head way with people like this.

The problem we are having in this country is that, we keep making the same mistake over and over again.
We complained about the former president, and yet we voted for the another deceiving set of people who has promised us change.,but now, we are experiencing the worst change ever.
And now, we are tired of Buhari's government.,we want another person. What is the assurance that, that one will not be worst than Buhari., Or is it not the same people we keep electing, hoping for a good result?.
So, Let's try a new regime.,let's build a new party. If the old ones won't help, the young ones will do.
Let's kick against all forms of corruption in this country.
Let's make sure that we don't vote for any of the two parties in the coming election.
Well, money is good, but it is the root of all evil. Do not allow what you want to eat today, spoil what you will become in future.,let's be wise.

If we could join hands together this country will be great Nigeria can improve more than this if unity and peace exist among us.

The problem is not that we did not weak up but poverty has taken away the opportunity of many people ,because of little money we lost our pride as a citizen ,and then that is why the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

Those who are at the top did not wont the lower people to meet them the richer people sponsor the adult base on criminal act during election.

No body won't to hear the truth ,if you try to say the truth you will be out or be assassinated .
Last year some youth gathered together and protest In lagos state the reason why they protest is for us to have a possitive governce .
We are shock about what happened during the protest when some of the youth were been shot to dead by our security personnel.
The youth are trying to do the needeful for the country to change for bettter but the end story is very bad because we lost some if them.
Nobody won't to loose his or her life because of Nigeria.
We dont have government.
