Being a delivery agent, he was already used to the reactions of different ladies upon delivering flowers.
This particular lady surprised him when he went to deliver the bouquet at her office because she didn't hide her feelings.
The flowers were for Valentine's Day and her boyfriend contacted this florist to deliver some red roses to her. The florist wanted to ask him why he chose to get her roses instead of some other gift item a typical Nigerian lady would love ,but he kept his opinions to himself.
When he got to her office which she shared with 6 of her colleagues, he delivered it to her, she was so excited but kept looking at the florist and his crew with a questioning glance.
As the florist was about to leave, she surprisingly asked him if that was only flowers he was sent to deliver to her.
The expression on her face was funny because she was shocked,angry and disappointed
She was angry at how her boyfriend could spend so much on flowers when he could actually spend the money on other items she would appreciate better.
In fact, she almost trashed it.
The florist had a hard time trying to convince her that her boyfriend was thinking of her when he ordered for the flowers for her.
Nigerian ladies prefer bags, hair, shoes, perfumes etc.
The case is so different for European women who are always so glad to receive flowers at any time and for any reason.
Why do Nigerian ladies not appreciate flowers?

Lol, Who flower help(: We African ladies especially my lovely country Nigeria don't just fancy beautiful things unless it comes with a expensive price tags. We do prefer things that are is well known to be expensive and classy. The part where the bride holds a flower in Nigeria is underrated. If their is a slim chance of removing some unnecessary things in weddings; flowers will be top notched.
Our current set of girls are in for things that are classy and expensive. The groaning face of the lady whose her bf bought just flowers is just a normal reaction from ladies.

Some things are peculiar to some people.
Sometimes the standard of living make you appreciate things the more. But when things are difficult, priority changes.
If this same women find thereselves abroad they will appreciate flowers.
For now you have to give us what makes sense.
