A lot of people have delved into careers that have given them utmost joys and a lifetime of opportunities or fulfillment.
Surprisingly, not every career person actually planned to tow the career path they found themselves in. One thing led to the other then they found themselves in it and they have a good story to tell of it today.
Some who even planned to tow a career path , do not have anything to show for it today.
Nevertheless, every career has its challenges and delightful moments.
There are careers that people don't like for anything in the world.
For example , as respectable as Medicine or Nursing is, there are people who vowed never to have anything to do with these professions.
Their major reasons are the fear of sighting blood and not having to enjoy your time due to the work shift arrangement of the job.
Everyone loves to have their time to themselves
My favourite career is the teaching profession. I love it because it gives you opportunity to learn more .
In fact, I remember whilst growing, I regarded teachers as the most intelligent people on earth because they always seemed to have an answer to every questions posed at them by students , it didn't matter what subject the teacher taught. They are seen as sources of knowledge.
Being a teacher makes you comport yourself before others , not just your students, because you're regarded as a role model so you would avoid doing certain things that could tarnish your image in the eyes of the public.
Teaching can also be done on part-time basis. This affords flexibility because the teacher can enjoy hee time and even engage in other side businesses to earn something extra.
One other beautiful thing is that the teacher comes down to anyone's level of understanding to explain things to that person .
Not everyone is good at this, but the teacher.
One last thing about this profession, is their dress sense. A teacher is trained to dress decently and neatly. This makes them look prim and proper.
When you do a thing effortlessly and you don't always place a price tag on it, then you can confidently say that you love that thing.
What is your favorite career and why ?
**I love being me.**
Teaching is a cool career especially when you are disciplined on that course because most lecturers and secondary school are making teaching looks like a very funny career. Teaching is cool because it makes room for you to learn more, know how to relate any anybody and also tolerance because everybody get their own for their body and also communication too.
But my favorite career which is not really seems to be a career is trading be it currency pairs or forex or indices or stock they are only the same only that you are trading on different instruments.
The reason why is chose trading as my favorite career is because not everybody is cut out for it. Trading is risky, trading can be relate to our everyday life.
It helps manage and control your deepest fear losing money. Many persons can't stand losing money and if you want to be wealthy in this life. You have to understand that you need to use money to find money, or let me put in a way you can easily relate, you use money to buy money Just like Nigeria current crisis.
If you have control of your emotions of losing money then you are better of in life.
@SamuelKingsley93: Well! I would have stated my favorite career but it is quite unfortunate that you can't have a specific career in this Nigeria unless you are helped by the Lord and men to locate yourself.
Let's start with the higher institution; it is very common for higher institutions to change their dreams in life because why will I put in for medicine, get the cutoff marks, and at the end of the day they will give you an adult and primary education? Please with such experience haven't they killed the dreams? The dream can become a reality unless the person is determined.
I will urge everyone not to be too rigid. When it comes to choosing a career. The moment you've gained an opportunity in a company don't be too rigid that you can't be that unless you see the one you are looking for. Kindly be more flexible!
**Life is good**
@Rachael: Yeah, you are right in Nigeria, you can't just have one career and be satisfy with it especially. To survive in Nigeria, you need more than one source of income or just expand the one you are earning from.
School has now become just like a normal achievement that is now compulsory for one to achieve unless for some course though. But even at that you see doctors selling fuels, graduate from law school driving keke and also accountant managing a bet shop.
I pray for Nigeria to be better.
Pushing aside Nigeria's institutions that are so good at changing one's destiny. I've always loved the idea of working in a place with many offices.
A place where you have an office to yourself. You attend meetings on how to continue upgrading the company.
In a nutshell, I've always loved everything related to working in a company. The next question is, "In what kind of company?".
Well, I'll say I have two in mind which are in a writing agency or a pharmaceutical company. Writing's my passion but we'll agree that these days, freelancing has taken over, hence there's less need for a corporate building.
So yeah, it'll be in a pharmaceutical company. Though I applied for pharmacy two times and wasn't given, I always choose to believe that I'll still find myself in a pharmaceutical company one day, working.
Not just working as a common staff for the rest of my life. I always choose to believe that I'll be so good that I'll rise to the position of managing director.
It's okay to dream right? Even if they seem impossible? Well, I've just shared part of my dream as well as my favorite career.
As for me my favourite career is yo be a teacher, I love impacting knowledge on people , although teachers are not been motivated properly but I still love the nature of the work.
Teaching should be the best job opportunity ever but due to the neglect of government in teaching line that is why many people don't like it.
It is good to train , impact, guide, protect others.
I appreciate teaching a lot.
