It was a tragic day yesterday 7th December 2021 as a truck driver crushed school children who were returning home from school killing 17 of them on the spot @ grammar school bus stop in Ojodu LGA Lagos State. The truck driver was been chased by Lagos State traffic management agency (lastma) the driver was later apprehended in Ogba and the the truck was set ablaze. This LASTMA people are fund of chasing vehicles for their selfish reason. They make contribution of 20k daily out of their salaries therefore looking for every means to arrest motorist. Lastma are suppose to control traffic, direct and correct driver's but instead doing that they use it as trap to reap motorist off. Some roads that are one way that's not obvious they will remove the sign for motorist to make the mistake and they will demand 150k from the driver. Now their greed has cost 17 innocent children there life's. Instead of chasing vehicles why not snap the plate number and continue from there. They want the money to be given to them in cash so they can make their daily contribution. Gov Sanwolo you are failing lagosians.

There is no how we can escape from corruption in this country , collection of money from taxi driver, truck drivers and all that can lead to accident like this case now those children that died I just pity the position there mother will be .

Because lastma won't to collect bribe, police will do their own , road safety will do their own now lastma .
Lord we need your protection.

@Olatoke:. This is the height of it. Look at how the corrupt practices of Lastma has lead to the loss of innocent lives...

This is always too sad to comment on.
I wonder where the foolish driver thought he was running to with a vehicle as big as that.

No matter what ,the traffic officials cannot kill him.
His stupidity caused the loss of innocent and valuable lives.

It's a situation that can never be forgotten and we pray never happens.

All motorists should learn from this and ensure that their vehicle documents are up to date and avoid this show of madness.

Gov't officials should also desist from being highway 'vultures' too so that they don't cause any calamity of this magnitude in the nearest future.

This is no good news at all... The personnels that are supposed to prevent road accidents are now the perpetrators of road accidents.

The government needs to do something about this.
The traffics personnels should also be monitored in order to see if they are doing their job in the right order...

@Taofeek: because of what they will collect from those truck drivers now see what happened.

Nigeria encounter thousand of road accident in different ways , those little children has already lost their lives and that is all nothing can be done.

And those driver also they won't calm down to park and settle any case between them and those people .
May their soul rest in peace .
But this is a sad news , I almost shed tears when reading the post .
