I learnt that in some cultures, when there chief dies, they will send some people they call head hunters to go hunt for people some times as much as 10 people to burry along side the chief.
That is murder, and am sure they get away with it in the name of culture.
If they will sacrifice themselves and their families then no problem, but not others in the name of culture.
I don't understand how some one is dead and you have to waste other life's for it. that is evil and the government needs to look into it.
Am not against any culture so long as it doesn't affect other lifes.

I quite agree to this because some of these African cultures have done us more harm than good.
I'll keep saying that we should do away with old things that are bad and embrace new things that are good.
Culture are good only when they add more value to our existence and not devalue our existence.

culture simply refers to peoples way of life , some cultures must be eraddicated because it does not help society, in Nigeria our culture of democracy should be abolished , how can a people vote a president but yet are afraid to express there emotions when the elected government refuses to perform as he is supposed to!, democracy is a systerm of government by the people and for the people, so if the country Nigeria say that they are doing what is known to be democracy then we need to change that act of currupt practices and intimidation to the fellow citizens. democracy is a culture, so therfore any nation that does not follow the principles that gorven the culture , the way it workes should stop and have a rethink. and abolish any act that does not support the systerm of government.

To be sincere, cultures are nice and there's a way they unite people especially when you get to meet each other. There's this joy that arises when you see someone from your place because it makes you feel you are not alone.
Despite having such amazing joy, some cultures bring tears and this type of culture has done more harm than good to the people affected. The saying which says there is nothing with advantages without disadvantages is very true because it's obvious in the culture.
Let's look at the tribal marks issues among the Yorubas. The tribal mark is given to enhance the beauty of the individual but as time goes on people start seeing it as a way of spoiling human beauty and this forceful act done on some children has brought tears to their faces. Can we now call that culture? No! It is not!
It's good to value culture but we should practice the one that will affect our religion and our identity.
