@Jerrythegifted:
Did you Know People Eat grasshoppers, worms and ants
It sounds really weird and disgusting but it's true.
When I saw it with my eyes I was amazed.
In a reality TV show I watched months ago, the show is like a discovery show . Like the chef gone wild on discovery family.
A chef leaves his hometown and goes around to the different parts of the world to taste different delicacies around the world.
He got to a part in Mexico and there he was given worms, grasshoppers and ants to eat. He went along with some men to hunt for these worms, grasshoppers and ants. in the rainforest.
They saw these creatures among the trees
When they were all done. They all went back to their home , a woman prepared them for the man.
At first, he did like he wanted to vomit, but he later ate it.
I'm so sure he won't feel so good later on.
He went back home to share these delicacies with his fellow chefs, they prepared it for their customers and they liked it.
The one I can say I've tried to eat before is grasshopper. There was a day , my sister caught a grasshopper. She roasted it, ate some and gave me some to eat. I summoned courage and ate it. And to be honest, it wasn't that bad after all.
Let me know the weird food combinations you have tasted in the comment section below!

How to cook rice perfect Everytime
Rice is such a staple food ingredient yet so many people fear cooking it. So many people say I don't know how to make it. It gets too sticky, it gets too burnt!
I'll tell you how to cook a perfect rice! So, get your pots and rice ready to go!
There's a few really simple tricks to get that perfect fluffy rice.
And I'll show you
The two most important things when cooking rice are timing and ratios.
If you cook it too short, it can be hard .
And if you cook it too long, it can be mushy and sticky and no one wants that.
And regards water ratios
If you have too much water, you'll have a really wet rice
And there's not enough water you can have a burnt rice.
For long grain white rice you'll use
1 cup of rice to two cups of water
For short grain white rice you'll use
1 cup of rice to 1¼ cup of water
For brown rice you'll use
1 cup of rice to 1 â…“ cups of water
Now to begin
Wash your rice with water
Some people wash their rice until the water becomes clear.
A good method is just washing it three times
Firstly, you'll add the rice
then the water
then let it begin to boil over high heat
when it begins to boil, add salt to taste
Stir a little bit and close the pot
After this, do not open the rice so that the heat needed to cook the rice will not escape
For white long rice - 15 minutes
For white short rice - 18 minutes
For brown rice - 45 minutes
Open the lid and leave to boil for a few more minutes.
Your rice is ready! Enjoy with your protein, beef or stew!

Re: Recipes everyone should know by: Peekaboo(f) .:. Sun, 08 Aug, 2021 - 01:51:03:pm GMT
Now you've mastered how to cook a perfect rice
let's go one step further!
NB: Long white rice is usually the most famous rice everywhere. You can eat it like that or preferably with a protein or stew
Short white rice is eaten along with shusis, risotto, payayas etc
Now the special one: Brown rice is considered to be an healthier option than the other rice.
It has more fibre, iron and vitamin B. so, white rice is actually brown rice with bran and germs stripped away.
And brown rice takes a longer time to make. But when you do it correctly, you have a better, fluffier and nice result!
Now let's go really one step further.
I'll show you how to upgrade your rice cooking with a simple few steps and tricks.
Firstly, place your cooking pot on the gas
Pour little groundnut oil /olive oil/sunflower oil inside.
Next dice your onions
Add your diced onions inside(preferably 1 big bulb)
Cook the onion for a minute until it turns golden brown
Wash you rice 3 times
Add your rice
Stir evenly with the onion (you only need to do this for about 30 seconds)
Right now, you're just toasting the rice
Add some drops of cooking wine(totally optional, just for flavours)
Or you can add onga or any other spices that has top flavour
Then you can also swap water for chicken water or beef water
Add a pinch of salt to taste
Cover the pot and leave to boil for 25 minutes
If you're someone who makes rice Everytime,it might be good for you to invest in rice cooker.
But first, the basics is important too.
Enjoy your rice!
