Culture » Pride and identity, what relationship do they have? by: SamuelKingsley93(m) .:. Tue, 14 Mar, 2023 - 09:11:20:pm GMT
Pride and identity do have a good relationship.
Feeling proud of our identity can help us feel more confident and secure in who we are, and can contribute to a greater sense of purpose and meaning in our lives.

When you don't have pride in your identity, This can lead to feelings of anxiety, insecurity, and low self-esteem, which can have negative consequences for our mental health and well-being.

When we encounter discrimination based on our identity, feeling proud of who we are can provide a sense of resilience and strength, and can help us stand up for ourselves and others who may be facing similar challenges. But if you are not proud of your identity, you will just chicken out and giving excuses.
Having pride in your identity gives you the courage to go on. The motivation, to do more.

When you are not proud of yourself taking for instance as a lawyer, how will you defend your client and make both yourself and him proud?

So there you have it, having pride in your identity is just as essential as water and soap because you can't use the soap without water.
