President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a New Year message to Nigerians as the people await 2023
Buhari, who will leave the Presidential Villa in May, 2023, also noted that this is going to be his last New Year message as the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Here is the speech of the President:
My Fellow Country men and Women.
A very happy and prosperous New Year to you.
First, I would like to thank and honour the Almighty who saw us through the year 2022 and has given us the opportunity to see another coming year. Each New Year is an opportunity to reflect on the past year, reposition, and move forward with the New year
He said we must respect all our father, mother, brothers and sisters, relative, friends etc who did not make it in 2022

In 2023. The election that will hold will be free and fair and everyone should go and have their PVC so they will be able to volt for who they have in their mind. He said their will be security for everyone on the day of the election. Nigerians should go out and volt because it is the duty and right as the citizens.

In 2023. The security agency will put more effort than before so as to make the country be peaceful more than before and all the citizens also have some duties to do by giving assistance to the security by giving them necessary information as at when due.

The year 2023 would, indeed, be a time when we would work to solidify on delivering key strategic priorities under our SEA” – (Security, Economy and Anti-Corruption) Agenda. Some of the key priority areas we would direct our attention and strengths to it

a. Focus on SECURITY we will continue to engage, push back and dismantle the operations of both internal and external extremist and criminal groups waging war against our communities across the Nation.

b. For the ECONOMY our focus would be on maintaining and building economic growth through the national economic diversification agenda that supports the goal of national food self-sufficiency and growth in non-oil sources.

c. ANTI-CORRUPTION: On the anti-corruption drive of our administration, we have created new records in this fight, growing from 117 convictions in 2017 to 3,615 convictions as at December 2022. We as a government are committed to ridding our nation of all forms of corruption, through the collaboration with all the arms of Government to effectively prosecute this fight.

As we welcome the New Year, let us look with hope to 2023, a year to move forward as a Nation towards unity, progress and prosperity.
Long Live the Nigerian spirit of oneness, togetherness, and unity. Long Live the Federal Republic of Nigeria. A Happy and prosperous New year.

As it stands, no one is interested in what this man has to say.

I'm sure he knows that Nigerians are so eager to see him go.

We will not miss him because he has no legacy.

Finally, Buhari is going to step out. Wow it has been eight years already.
Wow, all I which is for the next person who is going to the leadership position, should make good use of it. Honestly, be it Peter Obi, Tinubu and Atiku.
