In this method, each round of payment will involve 10 members who have reached payment point, but instead of paying each member the usual N5000, only 2 lucky people of the 10 members will each get paid N25.000 (twenty-five thousand Naira), while the remaining ones will be free to try their lucks again.
The lucky winners will be selected through a very transparent raffle system which involves each participant picking two letters from letter A to letter Z of the English alphabets.
The following are currently the Qualified Participants and their elected letters in CAPITAL:
Abbey (m) Points: 368. Chosen letters: A-B-F-P-S.
Lilcent (m) Points: 368. Chosen letters: A-L-S-U-V
Ogiejoe (m) Points: 366. Chosen letters: C-E-O-R-S
GbenijieOdion (m) Points: 359.
Jackson2 (M) Points: 350. Chosen letters: K- O- P- S- V
Ojc(E) (m) Points: 351. Chosen letters: B-D-I-N-R
Obajichi (F) Points: 348.
Fashnet (m) Points: 337. Chosen letters: A-B-G-K-S
Osaroju (m) Points: 307. Chosen letters: E-N-O-P-S
Phaithh (f) Points: 306. Chosen letters: B-D-H-M-T
Davidee7 (M) Points: 306. Chosen letters: B-I-O-S-U
The Rules:
• The Usernames of participating members will always be manually entered here by the Admin or a Moderator and updated for each round of the raffle.
• If you see your username in this post, then you are to choose 2 letters from letter A to letter Z of the English alphabets (you must write the letters here) .
• You are all required to pick your letter within three days, starting from the date of this post.
• Although everyone is free to make comments to this thread, but the Participants must NOT make multiple posts with their 2 chosen letters in them (only one post of qualified participants must contain the 2 chosen letters) .
• The letters that you have chosen must be written down (in capital letters) as a reply to this post.
• Once each participant has chosen their alphabets, the admin will then set the nearest reasonable date when the draw will be decided.
• The draw will be transparently and fairly decided through the FIRST alphabets of the main headline of a chosen Nigerian Newspaper on the appointed date.
• Only the two participants who luckily chose the FIRST alphabet will be rewarded with N25K each, while the others will be voided of 300 points, and they can start accumulating points again for another round.
• If more than the required number of participants have the winning letter, then the second letter will be used (only for those who are in the tie) .
• If less than the required number of participants have the winning letter, then the second letter will be used (the participant who got the winning letter is a secured winner and needs not contest any further) .
• Voidable words are: Nigeria, Buhari, Muhammadu and Boko: If any of these is the starting word of the headline, then the next word that follows will be used.
• The admin reserves every right to use own discretion in adjusting and controlling the rules.
Here are some examples of winning alphabets in the context of the raffle:
Picture 1: The winning letter is C, the numbers are irrelevant.
Picture 2: The winning letter is O deriving from the headline: OUTRAGE TRAILS BUHARI'S PRO-NORTH REQUEST”, the W from the phrase WORLD BANK PROJECT” is irrelevant.
Picture 3: The winning letter is I: the E from the phrase electricity tariff hike” is irrelevant.

Yes, that is exactly correct.
You are only talking about the likelihood of not winning, you are not looking at the greater advantage of getting paid 5 times more money (if not 10 times more money) .

@Administrator: But really the likelihood of losing is higher though. When does it end? Is this how it's going to be henceforth? Is it compulsory to participate. If you would rather go through the normal process, is there a way that can happen?

This is totally unfair,we are in a situation whereby every act is taken for a positive result. This pattern is only favorable when playing games not posting article because you are the only person who has a win/win chance every other member has a 50/50 chance. I think 5/10 is still better and the letters can be the first 3letters.
The previous method is still better and reasonable,i believe.

Hmmmmnnn... This system of payment looks weird.
I understand the problem me not be coming from you.
I feel this system of payment is as a result of issues been faced when paying members of the forum.
It would have been more better if you increase our chances of winning by making it 5/10 rather than just 2/10

Sir, this method is not favourable for people who won't win and people who are in 300 points who suppose to get paid as usual will now lose not only their money also their points, it not going to be funny.
I believe the former method is way better, than this. So sir please let it remain the way it was. I know it not easy paying everybody that have gotten to the payment point.
You can also find someone who can help you out in attending to people who has gotten to the payment point.

Many of you have these opinions because, your views of the point system are counter productive and antithetical to the purpose of the point system: the evidences are displayed in your various advice, suggestions and recommendations, which are all based on your personal interests.
Whilst i understand your concerns and i appreciate your suggestions, but as the Admin of this forum, the best interest of the forum is of paramount importance and therefore, supersede all desires.
The purpose of the point system is NOT to serve as a bona-fide source of wages, but rather, to provide mild reward for loyalty to the forum: so, it should not be taken with the same attitude with which one would take an employment: you would be disappointed if you see this as a place to earn salary, but you would do better if you take this media as an interactive forum for open discussions.

Hmmmmnnn this new payment system is not too encouraging.
It kind of looks like a lottery system of payment.
I thought we were paid in this forum for sharing our ideas and opinions.
But right now, the payment is now based on luck.
I don't think people would be encouraged to post articles or comment on this platform aside those that use this platform as a medium for advertising their business.
Admin please I would like you to take this into consideration and look into it.

Due to circumstances, the number of participants have now been reduced to 9 while the number of winners is rounded up to 3.
Those who have been relegated or substituted away from this group (mainly due to absenteeism or no cooperation) are free to join subsequent groups.
The 3 winners will be decided by only the FIRST letter of the headline of this National Newspaper:
Name of Newspaper: The Punch.
Date of Newspaper: Saturday, 10th of April, 2021.
Criteria of winning: First letter of main headline.
Number of Participants: 9.
Number of Winners: 3.
Price: N15.000 each.
Participants are advised to visit the post of the announcement to ensure that everything is correct as they have until 6pm today to make changes.
Watch out for tomorrow Punch newspaper for the winning alphabet.
Note: If the first letter alone does not feature 3 winners, then the 2nd letter will be added. And if there are still not enough winners with both the 1st and 2nd letters, then the 3rd letter will be added, and so shall be the proceedings until therecare 3 winners.
