Former Chelsea defender Emmanuel Petit has said that French legend Zinedine Zidane xan will not be coaching the Blues in a particular season.

The 50-year-old has been regularly linked with the Chelsea bench since the departure of Thomas Tuchel.

However, new Blues owner Todd Boehly has selected Graham Potter, out of contract at Brighton, to start a bigger trip to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are struggling so far despite a stunning winter transfer window as they have scored just 4 goals this year and won their last 11 games.

Many fans are now calling on club officials to sack Potter and hire a new coach.

Names to replace him include Zinedine Zidane, who won the UEFA Champions League three times with Real Madrid between 2016 and 2018.

However, his former French teammate felt that he would not be able to do the job due to the language barrier.

"Zinedine doesn't speak English so he's not the right choice for Chelsea, with all due respect to my former team-mate," Petit told Boyle Sports.
