The above is a verse from the bible. I like it because it explains a lot concerning what one’s mouth says. It says it is as a result of the things in your heart that you say what you say, and consequently, you become what you say eventually.

People are profane because of these unconscious/conscious reasons

The environment you are determines what you hear. From music, to slangs, to clichés etc. The more you hear those things, the more they sink into your subconscious. With the level of obscene and profane languages flying around, most people just become profane unconsciously.

What you read becomes what your mind feeds on. So, the more the bad languages in the types of books you read, the more you mind becomes filled with such unprintable words.

Actually, it is one thing to hear and read something, it is another thing to agree with. The moment you agree with anything that comes to your mind, it takes over you and you begin ti exhibit it.

All problems have remedy, and profanity is not left out. If you can’t control what you see or hear, you can always control what you choose to agree with.

Mind renewal is when your fill your heart with the right content. Read books that will inspire you to say positive words

Take control of your heart and what goes into it in abundance

We speak who we are. We talk it loud because we can't hold it. We display it because we can't hide it. We must also know that with mouth we can as well reprogram our lives. Words are powerful and we must know this.

We must embrace patience and the ability to think in seconds in every situation. This will help us have a rethink in whatever it is may be our reaction to situations.

Self education is massively important. There are lots of books where people have shared their life experiences, challenges, and weaknesses and how they eventually won their life battles. Pick up some "How-To" books how help yourself. This is your life, be proactive enough to understand the things that will make it work and go for them.

Most times because we can't see things from other people's perspectives, we think we are the mini gods and they, the monsters. We must embrace people's perspectives. We must learn to respect opinions. Although we don't need people's mediocrity, but then most time if one don't objectively understand a phenomena, one may not be able to give proper judgement and one become the mediocre here.

Some problems are not tacked directly, but when you objectively look at it you will see an underlying root of the problem and take care of it.

Every character defect has a foundational problem that must be tackled first. Take objective of the defect and solution will be staring you in the face.

I have a friend. She curse on everything. Her parents tried changing her but they couldn't. Any little thing, the will lay a curse.

I become why some people are just too used to this. Why do you use the same mouth you used in praising God to lay curses on people up and down.

Can good and bad come from the same place? Can light and darkness dwell together? Never... One must depart for the other.

You can't use the same mouth you use in praising God and still use it to curse people.

This is the reason God does not answer some people's prayer. The call on God with that same poisonous tongue. It's very bad.

Refrain your tongue from speaking wayward things.

Foul language is a language that is not a good and pleasant language communicated . Foul language refers to abuses, curses, insults and various forms of communication that are unpleasant even to the ears. Have you never been amazed before when you hear some foul languages from some people , sp displeasing to the hear and all you can just do is to open your mouth in amazement and think of how that person could have thought of such words in the first place. Foul language is a language parents should not allow their children imbibe at all because it doesn’t speak well of them.  Most of the people that have gotten so used to foul language today, check it very well, they either learnt it from their home, or from their immediate surroundings. So therefore, the environment we live really matters a lot to authenticate a person’s vulnerability to speaking foul languages. Foul langauages deprives the speaker favour from men, in the sense that, that people of good report and of good attitude will not want to associate with such a person, they will see then person as person that will insult them and even tarnish their image. A person that uses foul language often is depriving him/her self of the favour and blessings  that comes with good behavior and good sense of communication.  Foul language doesn’t speak well of a person, rather it makes people think that you lack good up bringing and that you are not of good behavior. Stop foul language. Start speaking positive things that will impart grace, blessings to the people that listen you.  Don’t let foul  language truncate your destiny, even when you are angry, learn to bridle your tongue and don’t allow foul language come out from it.
People need to learn communication. Communication is an important aspect of a person’s life.  I feel part of the causes of rampant foul languages this days is due to lack of understanding of good communication skills and that really causes a lot of havoc this days.  Communication should lead to understanding, but when it is now leading to fight and insults, it is not effective enough because for a communication to be very effective it really has to be void of foul languages and void of misunderstanding. We can learn good communication skills in schools, churches and all other educative centers because that is how we can improve in human relations. Foul language does more harm than good, speak wisely, seek godly principles to communication and you will be able to communicate effectively with people we come across daily in life and we will be a blessing to them rather than being a curse or harm to they and they will always want to come close to us and hear from us from time to time and they will not always despise our words, they will take it with utmost importance and utilize it in aspects if their lives because they believe in the wisdom that proceeds out of our mouth. SPEAK WITH WISDOM.

Randomly 80% of us will be guilty of using foul languages except if we want to deceive ourselves and act like an innocent. It very much possible that we are not intentional about it, it might be by mistake, it might be out of annoyance and some it might be their lifestyle. In whichever way, we might have use foul languages. But one thing we also need to look at is that, how do you feel when you say those words, do you feel good about it, are you always happy when you say foul languages to other humans like you, or better still, you feel remorse after saying.
What is foul languages? Foul languages are profane or socially unacceptable words. The word profane as used here means to put to a wrong or unworthy use; to debase; to abuse; to defile. And when we say something is socially unacceptable, it means that the thing is not welcomed by the society. If you need to be careful with your interactions with people, this is what you should be careful about because, no matter how sacred you think you are, humans can frustrate you to the extent that this words will come out of your mouth unknowingly.
Sincerely speaking, foul languages are not good, they are not things one can reckon with. So, what do when then do to minimize it to the nearest volume of usage and how can this be done, we can only achieve this by making sure we control the way we get angry at all times. Seriously, if you really don’t want to involved in foul languages, it means you have to always overlook a lot of things. For instance now, you are using your leg venza 2019 to walk on the street jejely inside an heavy rain, then one car is coming at your back and speed off, splitting water on  you.. Now, if care is not taking you will use all the whole foul languages on that person.
Therefore, be conscious of every words that comes out of your mouth and pray to God to help you

Words are weighty. What we say and why we say it matter. James 1:19 says we can be swift to hearing but slow to speech. We are to watch the way we talk because our speech is an indication of our way of life. One can be judged by the his utterances. That is why we are hereby called upon to be very cautious with the words of our mouths and the thoughts of our minds.

The first thing to address in our vocal system is our mind (heart). The Bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. This is very true. If you speak vulgarly all the time then your heart is corrupted. We have to let our way of life in Christ change our thinking and remold our pattern of behaviour by pursuing truthfulness and honesty. All that we think, do and say must be able to stand the test of time by producing the evidence of the reality of a cleaned heart. Indeed we are to copy GOD'S character.

The next matter for our consideration is MOUTH. We are counseled to watch our mouths by saying good and helpful words for the encouragement of fellow believers by:
1. Avoiding negative speeches. No bad language is to escape through our lips.
2. Allowing positive speeches, words that build others up, that is, words that are not derogatory. Speeches that convey GOD'S truth must be expressed. We are to also speak those things that benefit our audience and even though we want to correct people that do wrong, let's correct in love. The words in themselves must be introduced seasonably and lovingly, lest they prove injurious instead of useful (Prov. 16:24, Isaiah 50:4).

The admonition for us is that we must watch the manner in which we dispense our vocal system, especially our minds and mouths. These are not to be used recklessly to the detriment of others. Rather, our words should be developmental for our audience and their delights.

Words are powerful. The words that come out of our mouth can make  or mare another person. In our society today, passing derogatory remarks has become the order of the day.

During my University days, as one of the shortest people in my set then , I always for went lecture Early so that I could get a space in the front seats. After waiting for like two hours for this particular lecturer ,she eventually came and started by asking questions on the last assignment she gave us .
Ordinarily I wouldn't have tried to answer her question because I hardly answer questions in class.(I was battling with my self esteem) But I had to try because the whole class was quiet and she was also threatening to walk out of the class.

Immediately I stood up to answer her questions, she took a long look at me and she began to laugh.so I stood there perplexed wondering why she she was laughing. Eventually she asked if that was the whole of me. Confused, I told her that I was not kneeling down. The whole class started laughing even after she left the class.

After that I never for once sit in front nor answer any questions in class till I graduated.

Haha this is a very very funny topic well I will say it's our way of life in Nigeria. We are very aggressive in this country, like our phcn when they cease the light we tend to insult them or even cause them. Even when they bring the light we still insult them.

Me myself I am fond of that if I'm greeting my friends sometimes I call them ode jokingly. I've always thought of this topic. why is that we do insult even jokingly.

But this habit has to stop because it's not a good habit at all. I know we are all humans and we feel like getting out all our anger. This is a very wonderful topic.

Even when someone cracked a joke we still insults the person to show the person what he's saying is funny. Please let us all try to stop this habit i know we are already use to it but let just try and stop it.
Thank you.

An acrid tongue is not right. It's advisable to watch whatever we say. The tongue is a fire, says the Bible. It can either serve you or harm you. It's our choice to choose which way we want it to be used, choose wisely. People claim that they have a right to freedom of speech. Yeah, it's true but check again, it's not "negative speech". You can go to jail for saying something that is derogatory to someone (depends on how high in rank the person is). Negative speeches speaks ill of people. Infact, sometimes, people's personality are judged by their words.

The Bible says that the tongue is the smallest member of the body and as small as it is, it can destroy a 30 years friendship or relationship. It's that bad. Control your tongue. Your type of temperament is not an excuse, "Oh, I'm sanguine in nature and I can't seem to control it", your, permit me, to say "sanguinity" shouldn't be used negatively. We've heard of stories where people miss important opportunities - jobs, admission, scholarships because of the words of their mouths.

This world is a small one. Whosoever you've spoken to derogatorily, can be your boss in the future and ...

"...Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speakes" Matthew 12:34b. The nature of your words depends on your heart. Make your heart right, stop listening to abusive songs or watching nonsensical movies. The company of friends you keep too. People who tend to speak well, check them - they feed their heart with the word of GOD constantly.

             People and foul tongue

Foul means covered with, or containing unclean matter, polluted, nasty, defiled.
Foul means obscene or profane, abusive.
Language is  a body of words, and set of methods of combining them (called a grammar), understood by a community and used as a form of communication. Language is  the ability to communicate using words.
Foul language is using abusive words to communicate.

I won't and never encourage this because it doesn't glorify God, though I do it before now and why?  It is because I hear people doing it. So I grow to know that if the PHCN should take the light you ought to curse them. Like I usually tell people around me, I would say no child is born with the knowledge of things around, we all learn from people we grow up with.
I think the major way people tend to speak this foul words or language is due to what they hear, my mother didn't teach me to speak foul words or language but I hear people around me and I started speaking it.

The reason why it is still in existence is because we all don't have the knowledge that it is wrong. In fact when someone insult you with the word and you that the knowledge that it is wrong to reply him that way didn't, they will say you are a fool.
People see those who refuse to retaliate with foul as fools not knowing that the otherwise is the case. When I came to the knowledge that it is foul word and how can I be using my tongue to praise God and at the same time you it to be speaking words that are not Godly. To curb this we need to make it known to anyone around us the meaning of the words they speak and  to tell them that it displeases God that what you use it to praise him you're also using it to say words that are not edifying.

I will say there are many factors affecting the use of are tongue especially we Africans; 1. Our upbringing, 2. Our Environment, 3. Peer groups. Some are hereditary While some are skilled. Parents also contribute to this by laying curse on each other in the presence of their children.
I way also say it is the way of life of people that warrant it. Imagine a police man arresting an innocent person laying false accusations. Some people who loathe curse will surely curse the police man. It has now became the custom of people to lay curses on them.
Also the power holding company of Nigeria (NEPA) who always behaves abnormal with their light, they will always be getting cursed by the affected people every time.
So it might not be people's fault but the situation on ground that warrant it.

Most time those who do the insult or curse don't kniw when it is coming out from their mouth. And come to think of it again in the case of driving some will just be driving on the express as if God gave them specail techniques in running away from accident. How can you be driving and you are trying to overtake a trailer in a corner. The driver is not seeing his front so if u meet such driver on the high way you won't kmow when the curse will come out from your mouth although am not by any means supporting it if they are possible means of doing so then it is a good idea. In the case of PHCN it is a special case. And again those saying the curse most times do not really mean what they are saying. They dont have any other way to express how angry they are again so they voice out the possible word from their mouth without thinkong twice. Some people think the light given to them is as a result of one man decision so when they is no light or when they bring the light and after 30 minute it was taken with the understanding that someone is responsible for that. They just release the insult. Any way there are possible means by which this can be stopped. I only have or kmow of one means which is been positive always don't blame abybody for any mistake when you are positive you get to easily control what you say from your mouth.

Foul tongue or let me rephrase by saying foul language is never a good culture for any society to practice. The words of the mouth is a very powerful tool that can either help someone through the parts to success or push someone away from the part of success in life.

In Nigeria, we live in a society where by foul language has become part of the lifestyle of the people especially the elderly ones. Children grow up receiving insults and curses from even their parents and other grown ups out there in the environment, so tell me what do you expect from those children when they eventually become grown ups too.

I say it Everytime and I'll keep on saying it that many of the wrongdoings in our society that are affecting us now that we are grown ups were as a result of the culture practiced by our parents and their parents and so on. And these days things are changing and people are learning and that is why we are beginning to notice these faults in our society these days.

Ignorance is the number one problem of our forefathers, they knew that there is power in the tongue  and the words of the mouth, yet they still rain abuses and use foul languages on their children. Some of these things that we thought didn't really matter then are now becoming problems for us these days.

For foul languages to be eradicated, it's going to take a gradual process but it needs to start with the grown ups who use it on their younger ones. Because the children that are now using it in the societies didn't learn it in their mothers womb, they learnt it while they were growing up too.

Grown ups should learn to always speak positive words to their younger ones and always pray for God to bless them so that they may live long and fulfill their purpose in life.

People and foul tongue why is it a way  of life
The resentful tongue  is a way  of life  is that  we are Africa  and we are used  to foul tongue  most especially the people  who are living in the rural areas of the country.
The people in the rural areas are not been educated enough to  know more about communication process this foul tongue has now become a normal occurrence in some people.
Reason why so many  children  are use to foul tongue is caused by the environment in which  they grew up and the  type  of  parents who brought  them up parents who is used to foul  tongue surely  his or her child  will also be use  to it.

The tongue is the smallest member if the body but the most powerful. The use of foul language in our society is now seen as normal where as in developed countries it doesn't tell well of you. Firstly out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A person who uses foul languages is full of foul things inside of him or her. It tells in a minute the kind of person you are,The kind of society that has influenced you, the kind of peer group or friends you keep and most especially the kind of home you are from and your kind of upbringing.

It ruin your reputation, it takes favour away from you. It makes people see less of you. Children begin to retain from you because they know what you are doing or saying is wrong.
Bottom line iseven if you grow in a society that using of foul words is normal, choose to be different. All fingers are not equal, but u mustn't be the shortest!

I once lived with an old woman who delighted in using foul language on one of her grandsons who lived with her.

She woke up with curses & retired to bed heaping curses on him almost everyday at the slightest provocation .

Foul language is something that a lot of people grew to have as a second nature.
There is truly power in the tongue.

Foul tongue is common at local areas of the country let make use of Nigeria you see foul tonge is like an habit been exibited with rural people.

African have something in common which is speaking our mode of speaking in African countries is often been part of our daily activities.

Once a child starts to speak you will then notice that the child will be talking useing the intonation of the foul tongue ,this happened because the little child was brought up with that mode of speaking.

It's a normal thing in this part of the world.

I'm not saying it's good but I feel it's more or less like a conditioned stimuli to us.

While we were growing we saw our parents and elderly ones do that.

Right from then we just see it as a normal thing and even as a normal way of expressing our anger.

But all the same what is not right is not right.....

We Africa adapt vto things so easily , and the parents who are supposed to correct their children are also fully engaged in foul tongue.

Here we consider foul tongue as normal and that is why it has impact a lot in children manner of speaking.
