The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, on Wednesday, charged officers and men of Nigeria Police to exhibit a high sense of professionalism, obey human rights and shun all forms of abuse of the law.
While addressing officers and men of the Kano State Police Command at the headquarters in Bompai, Kano, Baba described Kano as one of the strategic Commands in the country, given its high population and commercial activities.
The IGP said the Nigeria Police under his stewardship is working tirelessly toward ensuring that all needed working materials and ammunitions were provided to police formations nationwide, aimed at ensuring the security of lives and property.
”I'm using this avenue to call on Divisional Police Officers to organise lectures and training regularly for officers and men working under their formations, which would boost their morale and dedication,” he said.
”We are working towards ensuring that all rank and file personnel of the Nigerian police are being supplied with uniforms free of charge, but you should take note that you have to make sacrifices to improve your job and improve yourself”
Besides appreciating the government and people of Kano State for their endless support to the Command, Baba urged officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force to remain steadfast in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
What difference does it make when nothing is being to those policemen that tend to abuse human
A policeman would stop and ask for your identification card which is understandable.
They would also go as far as searching your phone for no reason, and when you try to question them or even stop them from performing such act, you harrased, beaten and even taken to the station.
Ofwhich they would place false accusations on the person.
This has been a common trend in this part of the world as the police department has become one of the most corrupt organisation in Nigeria.
No one is safe anymore in the country, as kidnappers are terrorising the country, policemen are also doing the same.
Something needs to be done about it.
@ojc(E😀 You're actually right bro.
I don't think citizens of Nigeria have any form of human anymore.
You go out to make ends meet and many attimes you're stopped and harassed by the police men on the way just because they want to estort money from you.
This has become a normal trend for the Nigerian police.
The worse part of it is that no one is doing anything about it, it's like they get away with it so easily.
I just hope that things would change for the better.
Nigeria police can never change at all they will say police are the friend of the people but indirctly they are they friend and as well the enemy of the people.
Police officer will see something red and they will say it is blue and that is final, police will arrest a criminal who have did wrong and then the next thing they do is to received money from the suspect family and freehim or her .
You have ni problem with police if you have money if you have money police will do anything for you .
