Those people are not supposed to be left walking on the street.
First of all, it's Dangerous and very unhealthy too.
It is dangerous because most of them are very aggressive and violent. they are also unhealthy because they don't have their bath, they eat rubbish and do all sort of dirty things.
When you come in contact with them unexpectedly, the dangerous and aggressive ones can hurt you.
But the most annoying things is, when the mad man attack you, people will say don't do anything, he is a mad man, as if he now has liesence to hurt people because he is mad, if you retaliate every one will come out, but before then it was as if the mad has no one.
please, let them be taken away from the streets for our safety. Thank you.

I wish the governments in all states, especially places like Lagos , would take this seriously.
In fact, Lagos State has relaxed on this matter because they took it seriously in the past to ensure that mentally unstable individuals were taken off the streets but after some years we started noticing them back on the streets again.
Their presence on the roads is a serious threat to other road users.
If a mad man kills anyone, the law can't prosecuted him because he is not in his right senses.
The roads of Ikorodu in Lagos state is filled with many young mentally unstable people.
Honestly, this is a cause for concern all over Nigeria.
The Nigerian Government should learn to be proactive and not reactive.

Mentally-retarded or insane persons are much more preferable.
Well you write mentally-retarded persons should be off the street like what is the psychiatrist hospital for self.
Take a look at other countries, you will hardly see any mentally-retarded person working naked in the street with bags of stuffs and shit all around.
