As a singer, your vocal cords are your instruments you should never abuse your voice inorder words don't over stress your voice.
Your voice can be strong, powerful and and don't forget it can be very fragile..
Now, your voice can be damaged by smoking, tension, overuse, abuse (like screaming) are all potentially damaging to your voice.
Preventing you from hitting the higher notes in your range and producing a rougher ,more breathing sound no matter what note you are singing.
You might like a breathing sound, and that's actually great but as a singer you should keep your voice flexible and healthy in other to be able to sing in whatever style you choose..
Having a damaged voice will only limit your ability
* Healthy vocal cords will allow you to exercise your full range and produce a full pure tuneful sound.
If you want a career as a singer, your vocal health should be your number one priority.
Remember to always keep your vocal lubricated, drink water throughout the day and keep a water bottle nearby even during rehearsals..
