The Nigerian State Police Command, Gwagwalada, FCT Abuja, has arrested two members of a terrorist syndicate Lambata, Gurara and Kafin-Koro in Paikoro Local Government Area of ​​Niger State rescued seven victims.

The police also recovered N2.1 million and phones from the suspect. The order was disclosed in a statement signed by the Minna State Police Liaison Officer, PRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun.

He disclosed that the suspect was arrested around 10:30am on Friday, when two men were found hiding around Lambata-Bonu road in Gurara LGA.

The command spokesperson explained that after receiving the information, the DPO Lambata Division tactical team and local vigilante members converged on the area and arrested the two suspects.

The suspects were identified as Isyaku Anaruwa Abdullahi, 18, Kwakuti village through Kafin-Koro, Paikoro LGA and Muhammadu Sani uwakubu, 21, from Paik👎Kore village through Gwagwalada area of ​​Abuja, FCT.

According to him, "during the interrogation, the two men admitted to being part of the terror kidnapping syndicate in Gwagwala, Abuja, Lambata and Kafin-Koro areas of the FCT.

"They also claimed that the abducted victims were detained in Gwalo Forest. The DPO also mobilized and destroyed Gwalo forest between Lambata and Kafin-Koro areas.

"In the process, the tactical team engaged in a gun battle with the kidnappers in the forest, the chief escaped from the hideout and left seven victims six men and one woman in the incident," said Abiodun.

The victim was rescued unharmed, taken to FMC for medical treatment and reunited with his family, the statement said.
