News/Events » LAGOS GOVERNMENT AUCTIONS VEHICLES OF OF TRAFFIC OFFENDERS. by: Obajichi(f) .:. Tue, 20 Sep, 2022 - 11:33:06:am GMT
The Lagos State government has sold more than 100 vehicles confiscated for various traffic offences.

The Taskforce spokesperson said the vehicles had been abandoned and forfeited at the Taskforce compound in Alausa, Ikeja.

The exercise which was witnessed by members of the public has generated mixed reactions.

Tears flowed freely as people watched as their vehicles were being auctioned for as low as #350,000.

Many feel it's such an extreme measure for traffic offences and a fine should have been preferable.

The Taskforce spokesperson, Mr Jejeloye ,urged members of the public to desist from committing crime or traffic related crimes as no one would be spared if found wanting.

Another official stated that all the vehicles on display had gone through due process of the court of law before being forfeited to the state government for varying offences.

I feel this law is too harsh.
What do you think about this?

**I love being me.**
