A Sokot👎based Islamic cleric, compared the attack on President Muhammadu Buhari's vehicle in Katsina to the stoning of Satan.

Ramam Iblis, or Satan, is one of the three Islamic congregations of Jamarat in the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The NIGERIAN SUN reported on Wednesday that some angry residents of Katsina have come out to protest the unprecedented hardship inflicted on Nigeria by the Buhari administration.

The protesters reportedly set fire to the presidential palace and threw stones and other objects.

Reacting to the incident during his sermon on Friday, Mr. Ababo said the incident reflected the anger and frustration of many Nigerians.

"You know how the people of Katsina cast out the devil. God bless the people of Katsina. I was filled with joy last night. Any preacher who is not infallible must answer [problems created by the administration].

They should be treated such as wherever they go. Then they will realize that they have wronged the people.

"As I said, Katsina people have shown that they are not just shy, they are not afraid. They showed it yesterday. God bless them.

"They praise him as a thief and cast him as the devil. People must stand up to the oppressors. If we do, they will not notice.

"What happened with Buhari is a clear example of the transition from grace to fire. Remember, many people died for this man. But now see how he is ashamed and shunned like the devil. We are happy with what happened in Katsina. it will be interpreted differently, "he said.

Mr. Abobo, who said many people will lose their legitimate income as a result of the Central Bank of Nigeria's policy of reinstating the naira, accused human rights groups of not speaking out to condemn the move by the CBN.

"where are the human rights organizations? Or is this an abuse of civil rights? How many people will lose their legal and hard-earned money as a result of this policy. But the good news is that people are starting to speak up," he said.
