Is Nigeria coming to an end?
This is a question that came to my mind after months of reading news and at this moment i got fed up of reading the full story and then check news only to see if there is a better news coming up that is promising a better day.
In the North, you hear of Boko Haram, Bandits and these are causing serious damage to the North by killing them home and away. The group goes to the homes and kill them and burn their houses, they go to the schools and have them killed or abduct them, rape the women and girls and it looks like they seem to be stronger than the military.

In the East you hear of the Ipob and other Agitators causing so much unrest by burning the police station and killed some force men, enter the governors house in Imo State and burn the house etc. Yes they are retaliating the military invasion in their homes and have them killed and tortured and the whole of the East is in a kind of Chaos. Also is the fight between the Fulani's and the Ipob members which has ended many lives.

In The West, there has been series of issues with the security personnel called Amotekun and the Fulani's Who have been in the forest without permission and causing a lot of chaos by killing the farmers and raping the women and young girls. And the state governors in the West have demanded that all the Fulani's depart from the forest.

So far, only the South seem to be at little peace though what is happening in other region is affecting every part of Nigeria.

The main problem is that the Nigerian Government seem to have permitted the evil going on in Nigeria by playing politics with the lives of Nigeria. All the government care about is their parties which is APC and PDP. As long as their children are safe abroad, they don't care if Nigeria burn.
If the Nigeria government want to end the insurgence, they are well able to wipe them off within 2 weeks. They refuse to do so because it gives them more money and helps them campaign to say that they will erase what is going on in Nigeria if they are voted into power which is a case of APC using that strategy to defeat PDP between Buhari and Jonathan. They are also allowing the unrest because no one we focus on what they are doing which is serious looting and selling majority of Nigeria minerals and resources to foreign government and people don't know because they are all focusing on staying alive.

Another reason the Nigeria government are so bold to do what they are doing because they know the North will not revolt as the religion withhold them from opposing their leaders and the Northerners prefer to pray for their leaders instead of confronting the government that is punishing them with death and all manner of evil. The previous END SARS saga showed it all as the Northerners oppose every other tribe in the fight to restore Nigeria. The Northerners decided to fight against the people and now the Country is more in a mess than before.

A dollar is almost 500 Naira and fuel is 165 Naira and everything has gun up and standard of living dropped drastically because of the ineptitude the government who only are in for a mission that no one actually can open up right now. They have shut all mouth and shut the media and the only way Nigerians can talk is social media which they are planning to regulate.

Nigeria is collapsing and sinking so deep and it may never recover again

so My question, is Nigeria coming to an end?

Let me just give a simple and straight forward answer to the question, IS NIGERIA GETTING BETTER?

I'll have to say an unfortunate NO to that, for some reasons. It's also not just Nigeria that's even the only concern now, because the whole world in general is being faced with their own measures of circumstances.

We are currently doing a study in my church on the book of Revelation. One of the things which is clear there is that we are gradually coming to the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and there are signs and things that should and will take place to usher this.

Theae are the turmoil and troubles all around that we see and hear about, within us and outside. The evils are just to numerous to begin to mention.

However for the believer, we should not give up hope on our Lord, but keep looking and preparing for his coming.

@Osaroju :

Well, Looking at that aspect of the Coming of Christ and let me say end time signs. But could that be the reason why people cannot protest and fight like of old when people fought for independence. We can recall on the struggle for South Africa where Nelson Mandela fought for freedom and was willing to sacrifice his life for the course and as we know so well that a lot of persons lost their lives in the struggle for freedom. Yes, In Nigeria, the End SARS protest ended up with loss of lives and destruction of properties and police killed and so on. But the reason why the End SARS protest didn't get its request or wish is because a lot didn't want to participate and people who had voice held back. just few notable men and women came up. Unlike the time of Buhari against Jonathan, Key people all around the country came up and that was why they had more significant impact.

So, i am wondering if End time effect is the reason for the weakness of men to rise against the government even when they know the calamity that is about to unfold.

Also, Why are churches great and small not doing all to come together as one and bring up a plan or step forward to confront the government actions and plans?

With all that is going on now, it won't be out of place to say that it's best we all go our separate ways, peacefully.

The wanton destruction of innocent and valuable lives is cancerous to all of us.

Some people in reality,do not believe in anything called 'one Nigeria'. They are only playing lip service to the issue or talks of unity.

Why keep on deceiving ourselves. We cannot afford to fight another war. Let no one push people to the wall else we'd be left with no choice but to take up arms.

I wonder how many people will survive that.
Buhari's silence is inimical to us all. Even his call for foreign help seems to be insincere.
Let him call his kinsmen to order. That is if he can.

Let me start by saying that the question you asked or as it is placed for discussion here is not out of it at all because everything we are all witnessing is getting out of hands.

You would agree with me that this same country in the nineties is the country to be reckoned with in Africa and the whole world as a whole because of many factors.

This same country used to be known for her agricultural products in different forms like cocoa, rubber, textiles, beans, nuts of various kinds and all these are exported to other countries of the world.

It is as if the discovery of crude oil just made our leaders to loose focus and each and everyone of them just neglected all these and went fully into exploitation of crude oil and it's products.

Today it is a big shame and slap on us as a country that the known giant of Africa has suddenly become the ant while the "gi" has been lost many years back due to corruption at it's peak.

Today, the same country is not secure for us again as citizens as the country has almost lost it all. Non citizens now come to the country and kidnap us, rape our sisters, claim our lands while our so called leaders sponsors all these for their selfish benefits.

Oh, Nigeria, how have you fallen? Only God can help us.

It is so glaring and so clear that it been said by various dignitaries and personalities that Nigeria has been sitting on a time bomb for long and it is about to explode, I think it's getting close to that period of time or rather we are in that time.

We have assuredly been staying positive about Nigeria staying as one but it's like we have our enemies as our leaders and they are in top post majorly in the North and this is really affecting us, they have their ulterior motives, they want Nigeria to be under them and that's why they are allowing all these terrorism funding in order to continue in Nigeria.

I can remember the former serving governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria came out publicly to declare that a present serving Northerner governor is among the sponsors of Boko Haram in Nigeria and they went around to threatenen him and he came out again to say he does not know what he was saying.
Can you imagine somebody of that calibre that came out to the public to say such and he later changed his words, what does that signify? that our leaders are into all these things.

The truth is is that corruption has taken over our leaders and this has eaten deep that they are enjoying it so they keep embezzling the money in different ways. They keep funding the terrorist so that from there they will get more money and all that, its just a pity if all these people cannot control Nigeria it is better to let us go away so that we can push it for our selves. thank you.

I don't think Nigeria is coming to an end.
But the major problem hear is that we the citizens of Nigeria are sleeping.
We have failed to do the right thing as citizens of Nigeria.
That is why the country is in a mess.
The greatest things lies from the smallest things we do.

How do you expect the country to be better when we live in a society that encourages selfishness instead of selflessness.
Many attimes we hear stuffs like all man for himself which is not supposed to be. Even the Bible says love thy neighbor as thyself.
We live in a society where internet fraudsters are encouraged to keep up with their job rather than being criticized.
A society that encourages you to achieve success irrespective of the path you take. Even if it is dubious.
We need to teach our children and our young ones ethics, morals, selflessness, perseverance and honesty.
If members of the society can inculcate these attributes, then we there would be progress in the country.

@ogiejoe: The church has forgotten it's function.
The churches in Nigeria are no longer interested in the welfare of the people, but they are interested in themselves.
They are only interested in what they stand to gain and benefit.
Many attimes they preach on Bible verses that favours that personal interest.
Most politicians even use some of these churches for money laundering.
The church have forgotten to remind people about the ultimate commandment which is love.
That is why we live in a country with so many religion but so little love.
If we want a change from the country, it has to start from the church, it has to start from the society.

This is a question that touches the mind. Is nigeria going to an end.
A lot of problems are happening in our country everyday and we have government,we have president but did they act like they exist ,all the regional part of Nigeria are full of evil did no rest of mind infact Nigeria has been declared as a state of emergency.

Every news you read nowadays is full of bad occurrence you can't read anything good is either you read about killing of innocent people or kidnapping ,no where to live in Nigeria and relax.

The situation is now getting out of hands because criminal activities are improving in Nigeria and which is very bad,our leaders are after their own personal pocket they dont care about we the citizen because all their children, family are abroad enjoying themselves .

The reason why Nigeria is full of evil comes from our leaders, all our leaders are corrupt corruption has taken over everywhere, then the result bounce back on the masses that why there is no good job in the country we have a lot of graduate out there who are jobless.

There is no security in Nigeria anymore because the security agency are been attacked and along the line some security men loose their life.

In the northern part of the country thousand of people who have a peaceful home and family before now turn to someone with out home ,a man who have wife become someone without wife ,bokoharam has kill thosand of innocent soul still yet we are shouting APC and PDP.
Both APC and PDP are bird of the same feather that folks together both party have nothing to achieve they are using the life of the citizen to play political games.

I think it is worth it if this question is asked about if Nigeria is coming to an end because it is just like everything is not working and things that just upside down I wonder how the government will have the s👎called leaders keep pulling us without vision.

All they know is to embezzle and it with the resources we have once they get revenue from the resources I can remember years back in the 80s and 90s you find out that the economy due has been falling by way was still much more better and they keep spoiling a day after day there was nothing like insecurity as it is today.

In those years because everybody was leaving fine and insecurities started coming in bit by bit later on as economy keeps dropping I want to the type of leaders we have that will not give room to the younger generation to take over so as to speed up the development of the country.

For example let us consider the industries that we have the young ones the sharp brains that turn into like the music industry, the movie industry and other ones.
I see that we are really developing and moving fast and the other people could imagine and gaining the global awareness and make an impact positively but this old people keep on embezzle money send their children abroad do not care for the well-being of the masses to the 80s we export cocoa, rubber, textiles and all those things and we'll get our money from the export but when oil was discovered they shifted from all those area and today technology is advancing and you find out that the nearest future this world will not Bloom again and I wonder how this government will want to continue rulling us like this is just a pity that the government that is to rule us today are the ones that are sponsoring the insecurity and the boko haram.
They call them bandit to protect them and they keep having meeting with them giving them money and siphoning money is in there which I just pray that miraculously everything fall back in place.

Hmmm! Nigeria is not going to an end, neither are we going to an end but the major problem we would be facing as citizens of this country is the problem of disloyalty, corruption and love for power. You see, I can categorically tell you that all this situation that is happening in this country, the president cannot says he does not know this source, but he just doesn’t want to attack the source. You see, this might sounds somehow but let’s be sincere, which government in is reasonable sense will be negotiating a deal with traitors, terrorists, bandits, all sort of group causing havoc in the country. The government, instead of doing the right thing, they will begin to give them money. Now tell me, will the citizens not continue to form a terrorist group when they know that the government will pay them for being a terrorist. If not that the military regime won’t be favourable for us, I would have preferred us going back to it because this civilian government as nothing to offer again. There might be a change in future but currently it is not visible.
What then do will need to do to end all this situation. Is it this separation that some people are fighting for that will be the solution to all our problems or the reconstruction of the constitution. Truth be told, either we like it or not, one step will be taking out of this two. Or another thing we can do is to cancel all political parties and start a new party with age limitation for membership. Probably this will help us eradicate all those useless god father’s in those political parties because if they still exist, then the problem of this country will just be rotating from one government to another in an increasing order.
Therefore, we can still be optimistic about the future if this country, but if only we want the dream to become a reality, then we have a lot to do. May God help us...

Terrorist in the bush are eating food ,drinking water who are their supplyer ,they have spo sponsor among the top politician I think so.
If you listen to news you will hear about criminal act why is this all happening in our country,we have leaders both at the federal level as well the state level non of them could find solution to Nigeria problems.

We are experiencing serious hardship in this country all the thirty six states are not in peace .
If you won't to travel it is a big risk of life because anything can happen on the road ,we are not save and all our property are at risk also.

If this is how Nigeria will end, then let it happen peacefully. The Yoruba tribe have unknowingly brought this upon us.

Since they all connived to chase away a lamb leader to bring in an iron bender ,then they should face what comes with it.

The only unfortunate thing is that many innocent ones are paying for this shortsightedness.

This will teach everyone especially them an everlasting lesson. That is, not to disregard or underestimate certain people or things in any sphere of life.

It's very obvious that a lot of people are already tired of the corruption and hardship in the country.
There are lots of kidnappings and killing and the government is doing nothing about it, maybe it's because they are also benefiting from it.
Well if Nigeria decides to come to an end then it is for the good of the three ethnic regions.
But the Hausas would always rebel against that because they would be the ones to suffer from it.

honestly, it is not getting better. We all need to take responsibilities so as to make Nigeria a better country. The government is bad, so also are its people.

@Taofeek:when you say the government is bad, it looks like you're talking to a different region entirely.
But the truth is that we are the government, because politicians that most these leadership posts, are products of the society. You can't give what you don't have.
So when the society is corrupt, it would create individuals that are corrupt as well.
So we want things to get better, we have to take responsibility for what is going on in Nigeria and mends the shortcomings of our society.
