Selling/Buying » I DON'T LOVE MONEY I NEED IT! by: Doyin(f) .:. Fri, 24 Jul, 2020 - 05:17:23:pm GMT

The love of money they say is the root of all evil, and yet it answereth all things. This is my view and perception though, I can't help but say I don't love money but I NEED IT. It is true money can not buy life, but it can pay for healthy living, and when one is not living healthy, one is prone to illnesse and disease that could lead to death.
Love deals with emotion and feeling but when something becomes a need it is essential and very important rather than just desirable. Feeling or no feeling you need money emotions or not you need money.
I have personally rated money next to air, it is never too much or never enough, I need it to survive. You see these billionaires they are never satisfied!!
So therefore, Money !! I need you beyond loving you, stay! And remain! that I may exchange you to get comfort, satisfaction, healthy living...... Of course and others.

Many people interprete things out of context. No one is saying you should not love or like money, the key thing to note is that too much of every thing is bad. You're free to love money but your love for money shpuld not be in excess to the point when you can do anything including murder just to make money.

Besides, when you love money excessively, you will become a rich greedy fellow, that cannot extend a hand of love to the needy. This is because your mind is made up to gather as much as you can. It will also lure you into stealing and other dubious acts because your thirst for money cannot be satified.

It is this type of attitude that will make you murder your business partner, just because you either don't want to pay him what he is due or you want to play too smart. Money has a spirit that goes along with it, the more you axquire it, the more your taste and standard increases. Right now, many people will call those that buy a pair of shoes for #100,000 foolish. They will go ahead and list businesses that these people can do with such amount of money. Just wait till this same people get rich, many of them will do worse than the people they have criticized.

Lets be guided and ensure that our quest for wealth does not drive us into engaging in evil acts.

The importance of money in the life of a person can not be overemphasized.money is important because having money at hand means that you are not going to be destitute.

Everybody needs money to survive. When we have money we can take control of our lives without being dependent on anyone.

People will always claim that they don't love or worship money and that money is not everything but they cannot do in a day without spending the same money they don't love.

For me as a person loving money is not the problem but placing it above all other things is where the problem lies.the things that are more important than money is God and life. If you don't have money in some case, you may not even be able to save your own life or that of your loved ones. Money is important ,I cherish it and that is why I work hard to get.

Someone said to me, "there are three (3) important things to a man on earth:
1. Money
2. Money
3. Money
Money is very important for our everyday living, without money we cannot really live. So, money is good, the problem is - having money without GOD.
King Solomon said in Ecclesiastes 10:19b "... money answers all things" but he later realized that having this money without GOD is absolutely vanity upon vanity (Eccl. 12:8) and that was why he further concluded in Ecclesiastes 12:13
"Let us now hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear GOD, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
Don't take money above GOD. Most people just because they want to make money - they will stop going to the Church or even become Sunday Christians. They won't have time for personal devotion with GOD or with their families and when asked, they always say,"I've been busy with work, no time".
They've derailed from the The Way (John 14:6) to other ways because of money. Little wonder, Jesus said it's is still possible for a camel to pass through the needle's eye than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of GOD. Wow!
Getting money is not the issue now but worshipping money as if it's your maker is a sin. "That shall not worship any other gods aside Me"
Money has become a god to people - they worship it and do anything just to get it.

When I came across this verse in Proverbs, I didn't understand what the writer was trying to communicate at first but now I think I understand. Proverbs 30:8b says:
"... give me neither poverty nor riches - feed me with food convenient for me".
And he further explained the reason in verse 9:
"Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor and steal, and take the name of my GOD I'm vain."

When one is poor, he will devise evil means to get money and when one is too rich, he will become lofty and proud.

The prayer is that we should ask GOD to give us the wealth that will be convenient for us, so we will not sin.

I really do agree with you because riches should be accomplished while in Christ so that he can help us to manage it adequately and not allow it affect us negatively( in our behaviour) and in our service to God and so that we put God first before our riches. But if riches is acquired outside christ, then It is possible it makes one neglect God and think we are enough in ourselves of which can lead to other unpalatable things.
So when a man is in Christ, he shouldn't love money really, but that doesn't stop him or her from making money.Make money and do all to the glory of God so that the riches won't be a barrier to our walk and reigning with God.

Actually you are right, money can pay for healthy living. Contrary to what most people believe, wealthy people can bargain for good health with the money they have. If you are poor you would not be able to live the kind of like you desire, and of course, you won't have the means to do things that can boost your health. Poverty is bad o, if you can, avoid it by all means. It incapacitates you in every way not just healthwise.

Emotions are strong and can bond people together quickly but when there is no money to meet the needs of those in love, the heart begins to get discouraged. Money makes the love more meaningful. I mean, when there is money, arguments that make no sense would be avoided. In fact, you would be able to count the number of times you have issues with your partner in a year. The heart will be merry that the two of you would not find yourselves quarreling about things that do not make sense.

Hmmm! Amazing insight we all exhibited. So true that the need for money cannot be overemphasised. However, I would like to spread my tentacles a little bit adding to all you've rightly suggested. I would always say the motive behind why we do things matters a lot I fact not the works that are judged even if they would pass through fire but the very intent of the works. When money is loved more than God, then it become an idol. Infact, it's not just money alone. If you do have money, yes you claim you do not love it, all needs and want are met Hun which is absolutely fine but your motives are all wrong then double check your claim again because the worse destruct of self is lying to oneself. Some things creeps in that we do not even notice because they are subtle and insignificant. Even in the need for normal and healthy living, if intent aren't properly checked, then we aren't better than the rich man who thought to extend his barn for more storage. Most people who turned away sorrowfully where people who couldn't extend their arms a little just because of intent.

Money is good, true. But the love of it could push one into danger.

@Ninoevans:Let me quickly clarify something here quickly.

Money itself is not Evil, it is the love for money that is the root of all evil.

When we say someone HAS love for money it simply means having a strong affiliation towards money. Placing high value for money more than anything.
This is the reason why the love of money has become the root of evil.
Note this:
Many young and old people just because of their quest and hunger for money have decided to into ritual (sacrificing their father, mother, wife or children), some have gone into 419 i.e stealing and duping people of their hard earned money. Many have gone into pushing drug because of their love for money. Many have gone into child trafficking and prostitution which have landed many of them In prison. Many have died and also loosed their souls because of love for money.

It was love for money that made Judas betray Jesus. The resultant effect of that was that he lost his place in God and also lost his place in eternity.

Sometimes I just sit and imaging how a child can kill his own parent for money. This is what love for money can do to you.

Many people in the business world, music word and movie world have decided to fraternize with the devil in exchange for money that can't take them any where.
No rich man has ever been buried with his money or flict of cars.

This is why I say the love of money is the root of all evil.
Thank you.

In everything's as this life attain money is involve, there is nothing in this life that doesn't require money.Either directly or indirectly money is essential in every human being if they wanna live a very peaceful and meaningful life.

Some may say they love money while some will say they like money, either it's love or like everyone need money, though you can't eat money but we will make use of money to get what we will eat so therefore we don't need to love money but we can like it.
To get money in all cost with saying of loving it,it requires some bad act that's why some say money is evil

Need of money is different from the love of money. Everybody needs money, even the rich still need money. When we are talking about the love of money, it becomes greediness, having passion for money. When you love money, it means you can do anything just to get it, or you are the type that doesn't joke with your money, you take it as your firstborn, you want more than your satisfaction, that is when it is a sin.
You need money doesn't mean you have to go extra mile to get it, you keep working and praying hard.
Nowadays, even a little child will tell you he needs money, why, just to satisfy his desires.
We need money because we want to use it for something important and pressing.
According to economics, what is essential in your daily life is your need and money is part of it, even the source of it. So need money, don't love it.

You don't love money, you need it? Hmmmm, that's tricky. What's there not to love about money? The fact you can afford what you want when you want or the fact you can achieve much more when you have money is enough to be in love with money. The bible states, money answereth all things so it's needful.

Recently I got to realise that money move things. Why some feel money is "evil" is because they don't really understand its power. Money has the ability to be good as well as evil. How you harness the power money comes with is up to you.
The bible said the love of money is the root of all evil. What this means is not for you to not love money. What "the love of money means here is greed". Once you get greedy for money, the thin line between good and evil totally disappears because you get to do whatever evil thing you have to just to get money. Greed breeds a lot of disgusting thoughts as well as actions.
Money is needful but greed for money is deadly.
