There are people who don't like writing, so if you are a writer, then you've got to note some tips that can aid your skills.
The beautiful thing is that we write everyday, even if we aren't conscious of it or we don't do it as professional writers. We send messages on phones, wrote blog posts, comment on social media or even send emails.
These tips will do you a lot of good.
1) Set writing goals : This could be on improving your vocabularies and grammar. Don't forget that these make your writing read worthy.
2) Write everyday: Once you receive an inspiration, whether it's at night or very early in the morning, quickly put it down in black and white so it doesn't slip off your memory . As they say, the faintest ink is better than the sharpest memory.
3) Always move about with a notepad and pen : Every writer had this as the most important tools.
You never know when you could come across a topic or event to write on.
4) Always proof read before sending: Never be in a hurry to send write-ups. Correct vocabulary and grammatical errors.
Work within your time frame and content to be delivered.
The essence of sticking to these is that it makes your write-ups nit only beautiful but also read worthy and delightful.

Becoming a better writer is an intentional thing to do because writing is a thing of the heart. I know some people write mainly because of the money and that's why you will see people plagiarizing other people's work; beyond the money, you need to be passionate about your work.
When you see writing as your job and you are passionate about it you will be ready to make a change and be on top of your writing skill; when you are ready to be a good writer that's when you take steps in getting the required material that can help you become one. The material could be taking courses online or learning from material around you.
Another way to become a better writer this year is to create a niche for yourself; when creating a niche you need to do that through passion. Passion is a drive in doing excellently well in life so also applies to your writing life.

In addition to all that has been said in the comment section. I'll like to write that the most cogent way to get better at writing is through reading and writing.
Perhaps you love to write but you don't like reading, fellas, you've got to work hard at getting better at reading. When you read, you notice the structure of the sentences, you take note of new vocabularies.
Coming to writing, aside from knowing how to write, another important skill needed in writing is the ability to write fast in short a period of time. We can say someone's good in writing when they can form meaningful words in a short period.
So this means anyone that wants to get better at reading must stack up their cupboards with books. Books that suits their taste and passion, then get on the work of reading.
It is as they read that they will understand how the whole writing stuff works. It is from reading that'll get inspiration to form words that'll become novel, book, notes in a short period. Remember, "Reading & Writing" these two are the keys!

Writing is fine and lucrative but it takes a committed and intentional human being to get the benefits associated with writing. To be a good writer is something you must be willing to do, it should not be something someone is forcing you to do.
The most unique way to become a good writer is to have a goal for your writing. Having a goal helps you build your writing skills because the goal stands as a focus on what and where you want your writing to take you. You need to know that your goal s uld be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely.
Another way to be a good writer is to learn from others by reading other people's blogs and articles. That helps you build your grammar, styles, and sequences of writing. Don't think you are an island of knowledge, instead learn from others to enlarge your coast.
