Indecent dressing has become a vogue in our society today. How could one explain a situation where a guy will draw his trousers down so that others will be seeing his pants. Or a situation where a lady will put on tight mini skirt and will be adjusting it several times by pulling it while walking on the road, or a revealing dress. Why put yourself in bondage, when they sit, they won't be comfortable. If you don't want people to see your nakedness why are you then putting on revealing dress?

It is indeed an eye sore, when you see what some put on. Some ladies are so guilty of this that even ladies like them detest such dressing almost walking naked. Probably they have ulterior motive.

FASHION IS MADNESS
Trends are made and meant to be followed, but first off, they are meant to be set. Fashion trends start off as results of a dressing experiment by a popular person or a group of famous people, most times unintentionally. The way with which fashion trends spread is contagious, and fashion designers, stylists and experts are always on their toes trying to move with the flow. For one minute, a style and particular design or outlook is reigning, the next minute it is no longer en Vogue. In this century, as far as fashion goes, anything goes. Only self-esteem, peer pressure and culture sway determine what side of the trend you are on - the trend setters or the trend followers.
Madness is a deviation from a sane norm psychologically, and so is fashion, only that its is outwardly. Because fashion is most times a change in how some style used to be rocked. It could be hairstyles, clothing, colour combination etc. That's why a trend could look weird when it's new, but look so normal after a while. That is how madness is too ; it looks awkward at first, then it becomes no issue. No offence to fashion freaks.
Youths are known to be restless, they bring the same frequency of restlessness into the fashion scene. Eclectic and eccentric. The fashion industry is the in-thing now. Modelling is now a lucrative career. Males and female models are turning celebrities and fashion is becoming an heavy statement, regardless of how insane or awkward it turns out to look. Nude and half-nude models rock the pages of magazines, and they are all over the billboards, advertising their bodies, or goods and services if you say so. In this generation, if it doesn't raise eye brows, it is not fashion.

The rate and manner at which people are dressing now a days are surprising and amazing because we don't really know what is turning out from the lives of our youths. Not them alone but some elderly men who have divided to follow trend. The basic reason for dressing is to cover your nakedness and look good. But some have decided to use it as a medium to seduce innocent men and woman on the street to stumble into sin. That is not right because everyone deserves to be looking good and lovely. Respect the reason for dressing and obey it to the last latter rather than trying to do the wrong thing at every given point in time. Let's all dress moderately and appear great because you will be addressed the way you are dressed at all time.

I have always believed in a code and a principle as regards dressing, and that code is never criticize someone for what he or she chooses to put on, as long as they are not forced to do it, never criticize them, even though they feel uncomfortable, it’s them who feel so not you, so don’t criticize them, you might be amazed to find out that most of them that’s their lifestyle, they enjoy what they are doing and even want people to talk about them, you are just playing their game as they want it, so get occupied with better things, what you should do as a parent or elder one to your siblings and cousins or niece is to make sure they have the right values and mentality when it comes to dressing, dressing moderate is the code, you might not be able to convince those who aren’t your family but those who are your family are better to advice, so don’t criticize anybody, if they are comfortable with it, it’s their life and one thing my parents have always thought me is never encroach in other people business, it will save you a lot of stress and avoid unnecessary insults. A word is enough for the wise.

Sometimes I wonder people who dresses indecently are actually human like me. Sincerely, why would someone want to dress indecently. Putting on clothes that reveals the sensitive parts of the body.
The most annoying one is when I see married women putting on shorts revealing their thighs. That's extremely bad, even if young and unmarried people are wearing such, most the married women do so? Who are they wearing it for?
Nowadays, when you go to the market to buy clothes, you'll hardly find a cloth that covers your kneel and shoulders. Why? Stupidity and silliness has taken over the world. Why would a lady dress, exposing her breast and her calls herself a believer.
Your dressing speaks a lot about you, that's why it's said that the way you dress is the way you'll be address. Let's stop this bad attitude.
Worst thing is, most of the ladies who dress indecently were taught by their parent. At very little age, he mother already starts wearing her shorts and mini skirts, what do you think will happen when she grows up?

I believe that alot of Nigerian youth are misunderstanding the concept of Fashion. It's true "the way you dress is the way you will be addressed ". Fashion is beautiful but it becomes madness when it's degraded
You see a guy wearing torn jeans, pulling it down to his waist line all in the name if fashion
It's all called Ripped jeans for a reason not torn jeans. I'm not saying one shouldn't wear it, I'm just saying there's a limit to how you wear it. Americans wear but in a fashionavle way that when you see it, you forget about the ripped part.
As for girls, it's really funny. Fashion is not you exposing your body. You can be fashionable with a decent dressing "Halima" check her out on Instagram, she's an inspiration. I love her fashion sense. She doesn't expose herself yet she's impeccable when it comes to fashion

I want to answer a couple questions I’ve been asked recently about why girls sometimes dress provocatively and also about how guys sometimes brag about the girls they are with. Both touchy subjects, but I hope that in the process of honestly answering these questions we will all learn what it means to relate to each other in a healthy way. I hope my answers will help give you more self-love and confidence.
So here was the first question from Michael:
“Why do girls dress so provocatively one minute, then complain that guys are superficial the next?”
This is a difficult question with many sides to it. One part of the answer is that some girls feel confident if they receive attention for the way they dress. It’s nice to be noticed. Often girls even dress to impress other girls, maybe even more than guys. But for many girls it’s even more important to fit in. Many young women feel it is social suicide to try to stick out in the crowd or wear something no one else is wearing. So if all the girls are dressing in short skirts and low-cut shirts, they better do it as well, they think. Sometimes the styles may be more provocative than a girl feels comfortable wearing, but due to peer pressure, she will wear it anyway.
Why do girls sometimes dress provocatively and why do guys brag about the girls they're with?
Some girls might not even realize that how they are dressing can affect guys. Don’t get me wrong, some girls know exactly what they are doing, but some are just wearing what they think looks good. Since guys are sexually driven by what they see, it becomes easy for them to objectify women based on how they are dressed, but that doesn’t make it right.
What message are you sending?
So please know ladies that what you wear often sends a message…whether you intend it to or not. If you are flaunting your body, guys will be tempted to come after your body. However, if you advertise who you are on the inside, with such traits as kindness, gentleness, sensitivity, great personality, etc., they will be drawn to you for that.
Guys, it is important to realize most women want to be loved and respected for who they are on the inside. It’s just the lies of the culture regarding how best to attract men confuses things. As a guy, when you compliment a girl you have an opportunity to tell her she’s beautiful, without expectations on what her response should be. Women often want to be thought of as beautiful, but they don’t want to be disrespected. That’s a fine line, but I believe it’s possible for mature guys to walk that line.
How to Show Respect to a Girl
The next question is also complicated and it is from Tiana:
Why do guys feel the need to brag about the girl they are with, and their sexual relationship with her?
Unfortunately, some guys do like to talk to other guys about their sexual conquests. I think this often comes out of a deep insecurity and a desire to impress other guys. It’s a competition thing. If one guy has more success with women than others, his ranking in the group goes higher. That is why there is not only bragging, but exaggerating, and even downright lies about their experiences with women. When this happens it shows a guy’s immaturity and lack of respect for the opposite sex. These particular guys are working hard to develop a reputation as a macho guy. Watch out for these guys because they are more concerned about themselves than the girl they are with. Don’t lose heart, there are good guys out there who don’t behave in this way.
This kind of bragging is certainly not done to impress other women, as women are usually completely turned off by the idea of a guy talking about what he did with other women. Women respect a man more who can keep silent about what happens in private. Real manliness is when a guy fights to protect a women’s reputation and feelings. Little boys like to exaggerate. What most people put on today as clothes are amazing. What we have today is not only a display of insanity but acting the script written by agents of the devil. What is the purpose of putting on clothes? We are so grateful to God for the inspiration of the Holy Spirit on men, to write the Bible. The Holy Spirit carefully addresses all issues of life with practically no exemption. After the fall of man in the Garden of Eden (Gen 3), the glory of God which surrounded him departed from him because God cannot stand sin. Shame and reproach came upon man and his nakedness was exposed. However, God in his infinite mercy provided a clothing of animal skin to cover the nakedness of Adam and his lovely wife, Eve (Gen 3). We can see from God’s word that the main purpose of putting on clothes is to cover nakedness. It is important at this point to note that God is a God of variety (James 1:2, Psalm 8:28) we can see that in the flowers, trees, animals and even in humans. If we look at the flowers carefully and see the beautiful clothes and designs on them, we will appreciate the fashionable mind of God. But we must draw a line between fashion, nakedness and pure insanity.
These agents of the devil have programmed the minds of people with clothes designed from the water with sole purpose of exposing the nakedness of woman. The devil has succeeded in capturing the mind of the designers with most of them being either gays or lesbians and has used them to carry out his mission.

Youth of nowadays dress up any how they see, I wonder why majority of youth dress but they tagged it with the word called civilization, some boy put on ear ring and called it fashion , some boys fix finger nails and legs.
There is even a dress called crazy, we have crazy Jean trouser, we have crazy top, we have crazy skirt. If you put on all these crazy stuff does that mean fashion it is crazy not fashion .
Some girls will wear a top which will open up there best outside, some girls will put on a gown and all the private part of their bodies shows out and yet they call it fashion, all these dress are crazy because a rational Human being supposed to dress up nice and decent.

But oi a more serious note, I feel people should be reorientated on why clothes are used. It's for cover not anything else. You can design your clothes to look more beautiful and all, no big deal, but the essence for it should not be taken away. When you wear a short skirt that can barely cover your thighs and you are adjusting in the way or in a cab, what were you thinking? Some people sef do not even adjust. They have so gotten used to wearing revealing clothes that they don't care again if any part of their bodies is exposed. I think it's high time we redefine what dressing should be to us. What are we teaching the younger generation coming after us? Which legacy are we leaving behind? Indecent dressing, as been talked of, many times, I mean countless time, on beneyoyo here, even parents have talked about it, many time's to there children.
But many of them have kept quiet, because all they got back is an insult, instead of an appreciation.
Even many ladies and guys, out there have stop greeting, many of our parents and elderly ones, all because, they talk to them about the kind of dresses they put on.
Even many parents and elderly ones out there have now been an enemy to the young ladies out there, all because they are trying to protect them, from there own future.
Am ever in support and I will not and will never encourage raping, but this cases keep on increasing on a daily basses, could it be the indiscipline in dressing that course this?
I have know ideal, or how it entice, a guy or trying to impress or prove to someone, that you too you are off age, and old enough to do what you feel like doing.

This is majorly for we youths and especially christians...... They way you dress is the way you will be addressed....... Not only on clothes alone, but also the way you barb your hair or better put, your hairstyles Also is PART of your outlook..... Whats the essence of we ladies wearing an off shoulder clothes bringing out all our shoulder and exposing us all around?... Any way the issue here is civilization, civilization has caused so many things in the country, unlike the olden days in which both male and female already know what kind of dressing they are to put on.
But today civilization has turn everything into another thing, a boy putting on hear ring some people will call it fashion but it is totally madness how will a boy put on hear ring which belong to women, some boy will even go to the extent of changing their body stature to look exactly like a female and people will think is was fashion that is not fashion but madness, just Imagine a girl wearing a transparent cloth showing all her private part of the body in to the public, some girls dress half nacked dressing half nacked is madness, there is a particular dress call (crazy) these crazy gean can also be call teared cloth in which if someone wear it on the body some part of the body will be showing out and I believe that all these kinds of madness which some believe to be fashion are been caused by civilization.
Some people dress exactly like a mad man, if you won't to dress up in a fashionable way there are some good and feated cloth to wear not transparent dress and not crazy gean. Don't forget that you will be addressed as you dress.

A mini skirt? Trust me, that's the least we should be talking about right now. It's the year 2020 now and people are wearing far worse than that. A mini skirt can even be worn to church nowadays. You don't believe me. Trust me I didn't believe either till I saw it with my own two eyes.
The good thing about this is that the way people dress here in Nigeria (the indecent dressing, I mean) is still far better than in the western world. No offence to anyone who is reading this and has affiliations to the western countries. I think this is because here in Africa, we usually are so judgemental and your business is everyone's business so when an adult sees you on the road wearing what he or she seems as indecent, they will definitely talk and try to embarrass you in the process of trying to make you see sense in what they're saying and we the youths and teenagers in a bid to avoid embarrassing situations like that try not to dress too indecently. We may to an extent dress in a manner that isn't exactly pleasing but not extreme.
Besides, nowadays here in Nigeria, schools have dress codes and by schools I'm talking about the universities. Some schools have become so strict with the way the students dress that it has become almost impossible for students to dress indecently. Note how I said almost because some students always find ways to flaunt the rules.

We live in a present world where things are changing fast. Things have really changed. Indecent dressing has become the order of the day. As a girl, if you haven't gotten the latest shoe or latest product in town, your fellow friends (girls) will see you as an outcast.
Fashion according to the dictionary means how something is done or how it happens. I will simply put it as, fashion is change in trend. Fashion reach every areas of our lives down to how we eat.
Things have really changed and I am not surprised. Pride, lust caused it. Everybody want to be seen as the one trending. People show off, that is why some are influenced to join the crew thereby leading to new inventions causing more havoc.
Guys, tattoo is not fashion. It is madness. Imagine decorating your skin with scary images just in the name of fashion. Ah! Tattoo causes cancer.

Some people dress in such a way that it will be hard to differentiate them from mad people.
Dressing abnormally puts one into danger thereby you will be mistaken for a bad person when you are not.

Well, if I am asked I'll say half naked dress is small madness because I don't understand how you will go to the bathroom and you tie towel on your body just to cover your nakedness and only for you to come outside after you finish dressing with plain net and underwear in it. Isn't that madness??
