Stealing is a crime on it's own but when an ex-convict seems to be so used to the prison , it is a serious cause for concern.
This is the case of Yakubu Yusuf ,an ex-convict who has been arrested for breaking into the premises of the Lagos State Fire Service to steal the valve cover of old fire trucks under repairs.
The State Police Public Relations Officer,SP Benjamin Hundeyin,in a statement during the week,said Yusuf was arrested 20 days after a non-governmental organization facilitated his release from prison by paying the fine because he could not afford to pay it
He added that Yusuf was arrested by the operatives of Rapid Response Squad on Saturday morning hours after he was released from prison,adding that he had been transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and prosecution.
Before the incident, the suspect had been in prison for one month for stealing at Lagos State fuel dump, Alausa ,Ikeja.
