Engineering » ENERGY FOR WORK by: Osaroju(m) .:. Tue, 02 Mar, 2021 - 09:22:06:pm GMT
Hi.

Let me add a bit of physics to the topic on ground already.

In science, energy is the ability to do work. That means that for any work to have been done, a body, substance possessing efficient energy to get the work done was in contact with it.

Work can be said to be done with a body changes from one position to another by an external application or force.

There are 2 basic forms in which energy can be in: kinetic energy and potential energy.

Kinetic energy is the energy possessed by a body in motion, while potential energy is the energy possessed by a body at rest.

Asides these 2 forms of energy, there is mechanical forms of energy, which includes solar, heat, sound, light, electrical, etc.

Energy can be converted from one form or the other. This is captioned in the law of conversation of energy, which states that, energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but can be converted from one form to another.

Example: a light bulb converts electrical energy to light and heat enerygy, a ceiling fan uses kinetic enerygy and converts electrical to heat energy etc.

Thank for the refreshment on energy and what it is. It's been years looking at the topic. This will refreshing the brain and memory and help to revisit the topic as a whole.

The word energy was first postulated in 1850 by a scientist known as William Rankine. He used the statement on the law of conservation of energy on this principle.

Later in 1877 Peter Guthrie Tait later claimed that the principle was first postulated by Sir Isaac Newton with the mathematics formulae he postulated and his work.

Today the word energy is well synonymous to Isaac Newton and it can be described in different forms. Energy is also refered to as the impetus behind all motion and activities.

Scientists made it clear that work can not be carried out without energy. It is measured in a unit described with mass, distance and time. It is measured as mass times distance over time.

To elaborate a bit is to say that this energy is also found in living beings as either kinetic or static energy and this bases is related to the amount of work that is to be done.

The youths are known with an outstanding energy that propels their strength. Thank God for the knowledge of science and this knowledge should be properly harnessed for for discoveries.

Energy is the ability to do work.

There are various forms energy can exhibit.

They include: heat energy.
Mechanical energy
Solar energy
Wind energy
Electrical energy
Chemical energy
Potential energy
Kinetic energy
Nuclear energy etc.

All these are forms of energy.

Energy is the ability to do work.

Without energy that would be no existence of life.

Energy is so vital to our everyday life that without energy, we lack the ability to do anything.

The ability to talk, walk, the ability to think etc.

So when there's no energy there's no life.
