With only 28 days until the 2023 general elections, President Muhammadu Buhari has called on Nigerians to reject politicians who will lead the country into an era of high corruption.

Buhari said corruption is bad and should be rejected by all Nigerians before the general election.

The Presidential Anti-Corruption Council, PACAC, spoke at the Nigeria Anti-Corruption Conference in Abuja.

The President, who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF Boss Mustapha, said he would leave Nigerians with a legacy of resilience against corruption.

In a few weeks, Nigerians will have to go to the polls again to choose their leader in the general election.

"I plead with Nigerians to resist the politicians who will lead our country into the dark times of corruption agenda."

Buhari has expressed frustration with corruption since assuming office.

The president has repeatedly promised to fight corruption in Nigeria.

Despite his decision, he continues to be criticized for failing to effectively fight corruption.
