Break out of your shell : Foremost on the reasons to travel is that you discover a lot about yourself. Now I'm not talking about taking a family trip to Disney World. When I speak of a special vacation, I envision someone backpacking across Europe or driving along the coast of Australia " that is, a trip with cultural significance. Not many things in the world can inspire you like seeing the Colosseum in Rome or the Pyramids in Egypt. That is why traveling is known to provide people with a whole new perspective, whether that means no longer sweating the small stuff or promising to get out there and meet new people upon returning home. Those who have left their comfort zone and headed for a foreign land have done the right thing there is nothing like a trip to make you a new man who has no choice but to fend for himself. Whether alone, with a partner, or in a group, your development surely speeds up when you're abroad. Embrace new cultures: Not only does traveling provide a sense of adventure, but it also opens doors to cultures that do not revolve around MTV and McDonald's (or at least try hard not to). Though Americana has spread its wings on an international level, even a week abroad can serve to prove that people do live without the symbols that North Americans encounter every day. Better yet, you will become appreciative of other cultures instead of instinctively criticizing that which is "different," you will be motivated to accept new cuisine or alternative forms of entertainment. You never know upon your return home, you might even forego the latest Vin Diesel blockbuster for a Bollywood flick. Enjoy life like never before. : Even for those of you who are not as culturally minded, traveling remains an appealing form of escape. In the dead of winter, with a foot of snow awaiting you outside your front door, what could be more tantalizing than a swim in the deep blue waters of Jamaica? Simply the attraction of the activities that are impossible to enjoy in your hometown make a trip worthwhile. Experiences can range from the legendary (watching the running of the bulls in Pamplona, Spain) to the relaxing (enjoying a hot spring while snow swirls around you in Iceland), but they share one common link: they are all memorable. In every corner of the world, there is excitement waiting for you " it is simply a matter of sticking your head out and going for it. Eat like crazy, and practice some tongue on the native ladies... Satisfy your stomach: Food can make or break a vacation. If it's bad, it will surely put a negative spin on your stay. If it's good, however, then there is no limit to the amount of gluttonous enjoyment to be had. Sure you can buy coconuts from the local supermarket or make paella at home, but they cannot replace what you can find in their respective native lands. In fact, the perfect dinner can make your stay complete many insist that you cannot leave a certain city without trying a renowned dish, whether you're in Malaysia or Brazil. Though most of your epicurean experiences will be pleasurable in nature, other meals can be considered rites of passage. For example, not many people can say they really visited what Guangzhou, China, has to offer without drinking an elixir of snake's blood. Sure, it may be unpleasant, but you'll impress the locals and will likely never forget the experience. Pick up new languages: If education of the alternative kind is not on your "t👎do" list, just think about the benefits of learning another language. Taking a semester off school or a leave of absence from work may seem irrational, but what if you returned with a strong grasp of German? In a world where becoming bilingual or even trilingual can be beneficial at the office and in day-t👎day life, traveling can serve as your gateway to success. Business is not only conducted in English, but also Spanish, Mandarin and Japanese. You want to land more business trips in the future? Plan a trip and learn a language abroad you'll get a solid education and leave with great memories. Widen your business opportunities: Speaking of moving up at the office, traveling can also increase your contacts if you keep your eyes open. Who knows what can happen over sushi in Tokyo perhaps a new import/ export opportunity for your business? The point is, as far out as it may seem, things always seem to come together when you least expect it. You could be partying it up on a remote island while on your tw👎week vacation and suddenly strike up a conversation with a fellow traveler, which could lead to some promising business talk. Meet some lovely ladies: Okay, I know Copacabana is picturesque, but you owe it to yourself to take a look at who's sunbathing right next to you. Traveling provides hundreds of chances to meet and greet ladies of all types in an atmosphere where you should be unafraid of backlash. The carefree attitude that brought you to your destination in the first place should transcend to the social scene as well. At the same time, realize that "no strings attached" is not an invitation to engage in a lot of debauchery. In fact, the opposite is known to happen, as travelers return home with their new loves by their sides. As long as you keep an open mind, who knows what could happen? Admire true beauty : Whether you're a lover of history, architecture or nature, only travel will satisfy your passion. No words can describe the rush you feel when gazing upon the Mona Lisa or admiring the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. It is this reason, as well as the shivers one gets when witnessing an ocean sunset, that leads many to hop onto a plane. Being able to say that you've seen four of the Seven Wonders of the World (and have the pictures to prove it) or some of the most important historical landmarks, is a claim like no other, and should make you incredibly proud. At the same time, these feats enrich your life.

WHY TRAVEL?

The world is full of many marvels. The seven wonders and other wonders are sights to behold, feed your eyes with some of these and your eyes will be forever full. Back in the days, people use to say "go Paris and die". Meaning, the wonders in Paris were enough sights to last a life time. All these can be achieved only by a feat - traveling. And it is one feat many a people hardly engage in, including me. But I do a lot of mind traveling. I was at the white house during Obama's inauguration, I visited the Disneyland a couple of times. I was with the new king of Saudi Arabia few days ago. I visit the freedom park often times. ALL IN MY MIND.

I will still take most of these trips in real life anyway. The feeling of ecstasy that comes with trips like these is priceless. For all it is worth, traveling is a cool thing to do. As an hobby, or for just fun, or business trips. There are so many benefits of traveling around.

One gets to be knowledgeable about different cultures, traditions and trends. This makes one a geography encyclopedia. Knowing the world you live in is a good thing to add to the personal records. It is such a bliss to know how some places look like, no amount of instagram pictures and YouTube videos can replace it.

In this present world, networking is key. Travelling provides one this opportunity. You get to meet people of like minds and ideas. You might even find love on that next trip. Businesses get to grow through networking with the right people. Travelling is such a good thing I must say.

Traveling does not necessarily mean traveling abroad: it means traveling as much as one can  travel to the next town. To the seaside resort, to the small hill station, the next state, or the nearest island. It basically implies getting out of the rut, seeing other people. Learning about their way of living and thinking, and thus developing a broader and more tolerant outlook towards life.

Traveling is the best kind of education. Of course, it is no substitute for the basic learning of the three R's. But it can be a substitute for most other kinds of learning. For when we travel we get the opportunity of seeing and knowing people at first hand. One sees them as people. but meets them as individuals. Traveling even in one country is beneficial. Some parts of the country abound in rain and in backwaters, in lush, green landscapes: others have the right kind of soil and terrain for plantations - rubber, tea, coffee or timber. Still others may be having factories for canning marine products. In another part of the country there may be oil fields or coal mines or oil extracting units. So by traveling over these areas one is able to see the different kinds of industries, soils and people. Wow I love Traveling!
Besides learning about the cultures of other people and gaining a great deal of knowledge. Travel also teaches adaptability. Those who travel a great deal and are willing to rough it out and are not so fussy about the ordinary comforts of life. They make cheerful and pleasant companions. Travel also breaks through religious fanaticism and encourages exchange of ideas. People who have succeeded in developing an interest in birds and animals, in rocks and minerals and in plants and trees find travel a rewarding experience.

In the present day society, individuals can perhaps survive only if they can get out of their limited circle. It is important that they know what is happening around them not only economically and intellectually but also politically.

Re: Benefits Of Traveling by: Davzee(m) .:. Sun, 12 Jul, 2020 - 06:51:56:pm GMT

The benefits of traveling are not just a one-time thing, traveling changes you physically and psychologically. Having little time or money isn't an excuse. You can fly for cheap very easily. If you have a full-time job and a family, you can still travel on the weekends or holidays, even with a baby.

The Advantages Of Traveling Are As Follows
1. Traveling Improves Your Health
From cutting down on stress, to lowering your chances of developing a heart disease, the health benefits of traveling are huge. You may stay sitting on a chair all day long at the workplace: including some walking to your trip is sure to make your body feel better. For some people, wandering abroad is even a cure for depression and anxiety. Of course, it's not a foolproof cure, but it might help you feel better, both physically and psychologically.
Traveling more is likely to have a tremendous impact on your mental well-being, especially if you're no used to going out of your comfort zone. Trust me: travel more and your doctor will be happy. Be sure to get in touch with your physician, they might recommend some medication to accompany you in your travels, especially if you're heading to regions of the globe with potentially dangerous diseases.

2. Traveling Lets You Disconnect From Your Daily Life
This is closely related to my previous point. We tend to get so caught up in our daily lives that sometimes, by simply sticking around, we may do ourselves more harm
than good. Your boss is taking over your life? Kids are driving you mad? Your parents are trying to make you live the life they want? How long do you think you can handle this pressure before you burst and everything falls apart?
Sometimes it is best to take a step back, take a deep breath and take go that Tower Bridge selfie. In all seriousness, travel is not a bad option - it is the most natural way of inducing the feeling you miss someone or that you are missed. The trick is to leave with a bit of preparation to avoid making a mistake during your journey. Plus, if you're flying, you better start thinking about booking your tickets sooner than later.

3. Traveling Makes You Smarter
Get used to picking up new words in a different language every time you travel and you will see improvements in your brain capacities, as Dan Roitman wrote in the Huffington Post. If only this, start getting familiar with travel jargon.
Even more than "just" languages, traveling helps you learn about yourself. You might run into challenging situations where you need to be resourceful and think differently. I'm sure that you will develop a new set of skills that you didn't suspect you had within you.

4. Traveling Improves Your Understanding Of Other Cultures
Why we travel may differ from one person to another, but people travelling always develop empathy and a deeper understanding of other cultures.
Being more understanding and tolerant about a culture different than ours is part of being smarter, but I consider it as a benefits of traveling in itself. There is a quote by Saint Augustine, which goes “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page”. You could think of it this way: if you read what's in the news or watch the news on TV and don't question it, you're missing on a ton of information. You might think that it makes you smarter and more aware of the world, but it's the exact opposite: it narrows your mind to a unique and biased perspective.
Sure, you probably feel comfortable where you are, but that is just a fraction of the world! If you are a student, take advantage of programs such as Erasmus to get to know more people, experience and understand their culture. Dare traveling to regions you have a skeptical opinion about. I bet that you will change your mind and realize that everything is not so bad abroad.

5. Traveling Makes You More Interesting
I have no doubt that you're quite the conversationalist. That being said, including a few stories from abroad is likely to grant you even more attention. Mentioning something that most people aren't familiar with or bring a new perspective is always a good way to shine in a social situation. No need to write a whole travel essay, just discuss what you've seen and where you've been: people who are accustomed to their daily life will travel with your words.

During my trip to Egypt, my Airbnb host and I went out for dinner. He had been to some many different places, the conversation lasted all night long, and I wasn't bored for one minute.

If you're not yet an Airbnb user, use this link to get a few free credits and check out this post on how to get started.

Who do you think people want to listen to: the guy who spent his vacations at home doing some gardening and reading the newspaper, or the one who spent a week in Cuba, driving an old American car, swimming with dolphins and tasting deliciously spicy food? I know which story I want to hear about...

6. Traveling Allows You To Try Amazing Food
Speaking of food, I bet you're one hell of a chef and your home meals are delicious. But there is no such thing as trying a typical local dish from another country. Don't trick yourself into going to the Sushi shop next door: you don't know what sushi tastes like until you've been to Japan. As you travel, you discover the real thing, and discover that it's usually very different from what you're used to.

Eating local food in a new country is an entirely new experience. All the flavors are different.

Thank you.

Hmmmm, traveling! The very thought of traveling is calming. I love traveling. The opportunity to see new places, learn new stuff, meet new people is exhilarating. It just gives you an adrenaline rush.
There are many places outside your place of residence that needs to be seen, so why stay put.
I love it when the cool air runs through my clothes and flushes my face. When the car moves at a cool speed. Just passing through a lot of places, studying a lot of people and looking at life from another angle is enough reason to travel.
Traveling expands your understanding of the horizon. The quest for knowledge about the lifestyle of other people, their food, their language, their culture, their tradition, their dress sense, their education and many more are opportunities provided by traveling. Be it air, water, land, traveling introduces an opportunity to learn.

Traveling brings those pictures in the books to reality.

There are various benefits of traveling but a lot of people do not really know about this they think traveling is wasting or wastage of necessary and useful time that can be used for doing other things but traveling is not what they think because traveling is an education on it  own and traveling creates lasting memory that can never forgotten. Let's take a look at some of the benefits of travelling;

1)since traveling is a form of education you will tend to learn new things when travelling in fact those you are in the bus or in the car or on the plane with tends to teach you things that you don't even know when talking to them and you tend to know the place you are passing very well in case of next time.
2)it also helps you to see new things and learn how people do their things different from your own way, the way you formally thought was best when you travel you tend to see ways of doing things in fact multiple ways of doing things that you never thought of had more than one way.
3) lastly,it serves as a sort of experience to you because you begin to relate about what you saw on your way going and on your way coming, the people you met , their dressing, their characters and this will make you feel really happy. So for me the benefits of traveling are immeasurable.

Travelling helps in boosting ones confidence.Being place where you do not know anyone will assist you to gain confidence and presence of mind. You will develop the ability to cope with obstacles, which will make you a confident person.

Travelling aids one in getting real-life Education. Meeting different people from vast cultures and societies provides an education that is impossible to get in a traditional school, college or a university. There is no substitute for the real thing. sometimes staying at home is boring staying at home makes you home sick, you're tired of doing the same things in the same you're tired of walking to the same places.

Travelling takes that all away, when I travel, there's this happiness I feel inside me.

I've always dreamt of going to places like Paris-the city of romance to see the Eiffel tower, and the Louvre mesuem.
New york city.A city filled with dreams and tall buildings.
West Virginia-to see the bluish mountains and the shanadorah river.
I've seen pictures of disney land and disney world.Damn! it's so beautiful.I want to travel there someday.
I want to travel to Rome to see mesuems.
I want to to see the mt.everest

Travelling gives you this happiness and freedom
Especially when you travel in the morning and then the dew and all the new fresh air comes in.

Even if you were depressed, travelling takes it all away. travelling makes you feel alive

Travelling makes you know new places
I've been to places like  because of travelling. Now if someone asks me if I've been to those places, I'll be proud to say yes.

Few benefits of travelling from my perspective are:

1. Travel exposes you to new cultures, ways of life, and people, which can broaden your perspective and open your mind to new ideas.

2. Improved Social Skills: Travel can improve your social skills by forcing you to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds.

3; Creating Memories: Finally, travelling can create lifelong memories that you can cherish and look back on for years to come.
