Selling/Buying » BUSINESSES GROUNDED ON CAMPUSES DUE TO ASUU STRIKE. by: Obajichi(f) .:. Fri, 16 Sep, 2022 - 05:51:53:pm GMT
Once bubbling sites on university campuses across the country are feeling the heat of the ASUU strike .

Students who are the main lifeblood of the activities in universities are currently at home waiting for when the strike will be over.

Several businesses depend on the university environment to thrive.

In an interview with some business owners on the campus ,it was discovered that business is quite slow or has been shutdown pending when the strike will be called off.

Most transporters now have fewer passengers thereby resulting to lesser trips in and around the campuses.

Those in the housing and hospitality business have lost months of rental payments as there are no students to occupy the apartments. In some cases, hoodlums and thieves have burgled some of the houses.

Food sellers no longer cook in large quantities and this affects profits.

Those who operate typing, photocopying and photo business centres are making less income as there are no students to patronize them regularly.

All these and more shows that the impact of the strike is devastating.
While students are on strike, the household income is also affected.

A lot of business was down during the asuu strike and it affected a lot of people and even led to depression for many because some people had to borrow to fill their shops thinking when they sold they would be able to pay back but all to no avail.

The strike didn't affect students, we can say it affected a lot of people and I can say some families were seriously affected. It's advisable to look beyond strikes not because of the students but because of other people in the institution's environment.

Don't let us deceive ourselves, the strike didn't work for anyone's good unless we just want to act as if nothing was destroyed: a lot was affected. It's also good for people to have another source of income because what happened during the Asuu strike is a wake-up for others.

Don't put your egg in one basket so that you won't be ashamed and also don't borrow too much money that can exhaust your business.

**Always put God first **
