Education » Asuu Strike in Nigeria by: Wonders(f) .:. Thu, 17 Mar, 2022 - 08:03:26:am GMT
The issue of the Asuu strike has been ongoing in Nigeria for a long time. A large number of people that attended a federal university in Nigeria will testify that they had experienced an Asuu strike during their stay in the university.

In my own opinion, I believe we need to find a way to shut their mouth forever. They will request a large sum of money, yet we won't see any change in our universities.

However, nowadays, I don't know who's real between the federal government and Asuu. I don't know if the federal government is trying its best but the Asuu is the greedy one here.

Or if the Asuu is sincere, and it's the federal government that's deceiving us. I don't know. What do you guys think? And what do you think is the way forward?

ASSU strike in Nigeria , Nigeria government are not active in terms of educational sectors , ASSU is on strike for about two to three month now and the federal government are unable to do anything about that it is unfair to say the truth what is bad is bad, our top politicians ehave more concentration on election not on the country welfarism .

We have many agency under educational sectors but all of them are unable to do anything , look at our educational sectors been there for nothing.

We the poor children are the ones attending federal university or government university those that are rich are sending the children to private university so they don't care either ASSU strike or not.

To be sincere, the Asuu strike is becoming unbearable for Nigerian students. The strike has really wasted the students' time and some students' mental health has been affected, especially those that just gained admission into the tertiary institution.

We all know the Federal Government has been nonchalant about the education sector but it is unfair on the part of Asuu to continue the strike after the Federal Government has stated its offers. The Asuu President is not calm enough and most of the time he talks aggressively which should not be because it won't solve the matter.

I think Asuu should provide another way of negotiating with the Federal government than going on strike. They are called professors to provide solutions so they should use their knowledge to provide a solution. I hope one day the education sector will be better.

As long as the Federal Government refuses to give in to their demands, I must say, we definitely have not heard or seen the last of it.

These public service holders do not want to play along because their children are not affected.

Which sensible parent would be happy to see their child spend six years for a four years course?

Imagine an agreement they made in 2009,when I graduated from the university, has still not been met .Thus is over ten years, yet the FG keeps dilly-dallying on it.

The earlier they get back to school ,the better.
The cost of things are increasing everyday and the longer students stay in session, the more money they consume.
