Can youths arise and pledge to this that in any coming elections we won't vote in any PDP or APC Candidate, whoever will be voted won't be older than 50years, and such candidate should be a regular or type that has held positions in previous Government.

The real CHANGE should start and be propelled by us the youths, our leaders who are rulers doesn't care about us but about themselves and families.

So waiting while being called the future leaders, when will that future ever come if we can't make it possible on our own?

Definitely we are still the leaders of tomorrow and we have opened our eyes and have refused to let those blind and selfr leaders lead us along with them down the wrong path do we are going to put an end to the one political party in two forms and we know very well the election will be rigged but we will demand a reconduction.

The Youths are still the leaders of tomorrow. The men leading now will be dead in the next 20years and the youths will grow and be the leaders then. It may look impossible but it is inevitable as the old men won't remain healthy always. I know you refer Nigeria, so I will say that we should be patient as the deaths will come at the right time

Thanks for this piece. Are youths still the leaders of tomorrow? Definitely, they are. The challenge we have especially in this part of the world is associated with selfishness.

Obviously, our leaders, with the way they run this country, they do not put the youths into consideration. The old leaders so much enjoy the leadership post and wouldn't mind being like forever. What a pity !

Arise, Nigerian youths. Equip yourselves with all the necessary skills and values to sustain leadership positions when given opportunities.

The truth is, if the youths do not show the old men the way out, they( the youths) wouldn't be allowed to serve.

No matter what, the youth are still the leaders of tomorrow be it a good or bad leader. As the youths have vowed that they won't vote for any parties or old leader in the coming election, there will still be some fools who only care about what they will eat today rather than what to become in the future.

It is so painful that the weeds had missed together with the wheat, thereby making progress a little bit slow.

Of course, Every one has the right to vote and be voted for, but it is better to vote for the right person.

If the youth can really cooperate, we will achieve this together.

The youths are definitely still the leaders of tomorrow come hay come shine. Our leaders have always tagged the youths lazy from time immemorial forgetting that change is gradual. Few weeks back they were stunned when the youths carried outa peaceful protests all over Nigeria and it really made them feel threatened up to the extent that they made the wrong decisions while trying to come to terms with the youths and as a result they murdered innocent citizens of the country. But this is just a tip of what is yet to come because as it stands, the protest have caught the attention of so many countries out there and have exposed Nigeria to a great extent and if our old leaders do not start doing the right things, the youths will eventually take over.

The protest led to the assumption of a new party called the Youth Democratic Party (YDP) which currently I see as the only party that can outshine both APC and PDP if that party is eventually registered and legalized. But im5very certain that our old men in power will want to so everything possible to make sure that YDP finds it very difficult to be legalized.

The youths of Nigeria have woken up and we have made a bold statement that enough is enough and I bet it that come 2023 when the next election will take place, the change we are expecting will start taking effect because a lot of people are not going to sell their votes for more token that period. The current administration in power was voted in by the people but they failed us by not keeping to their promises and so they have to be removed.

I said so because the government you are talking about are devils themselves. instead of thinking of meeting the youths demand, they are thinking on how to shut the youth up and make them unable to speak again even to the extent of killing the youths. and as you have seen, instead of the international agency to intervene in the killings, they kept mute because of what they are gaining from these old politicians that are selling the country. If other big countries are not getting anything from us, they would have intervened since. They know that if they tackle our leaders, they wont get their share anymore. So, we have to wait till they all die and we be the ones making the good change

The youths are the leaders of tomorrow, just that our old ones do not want to allow that. We will by all means, not agree with them. While some youths are being committed, some are selling themselves cheap for the government to use and manipulate them, thereby will not make them see the right thing..that is poverty. We easily fall into temptation in times of trouble, that is why this country is a mess. Every one are running after money, we don't think of what comes next. Those old fools called our leader, they are already rich and wealthy, just that they are too greedy and selfish. They are already up, and instead of helping those lower to get up, they are pushing them down.

If this old fools failed us, the youth shouldn't fail us. We have to come together to fight for our right. Don't vote for any old leader, let's make a change and change this country to better.

Nigeria is a blessed country, the giant of Africa but the leaders are bad we do have good leadership style in our country Nigeria, if you take a look at the politicians they are older people you can find the age of 60 to 70 plus all this people are old accepted but is not that they did not do their best they have tried but we the citizen are not satisfied there is nothing they do we don't usually satisfied, this old leaders do not care about the citizen of the country but they care about their families only Imagine a single senator monthly salary is all most about 29 million what for that is too much all the money that was supposed to be used for the betterment of the country were been embelzz by this old top politicians the senators are just there for figure head, the minister also all of them are into corruption non of them is to be trusted. The economy of the country is moving backward majority of the citizen were unable to get good food to eat, no job opportunities in the country, our lives and property are not save anymore,Mr president said that the youth should go back to agriculture well he has spoken how many senator children did you see on the farm land their children and wives are in America living a good life while we are in nigeria suffering every day.

The worst part is that only two political party are rulling in nigeria the APC and PDP, and this two party were been mentained by the older top Nigeria politicians

It is time for the youth to come in but my question is can the youth do it, youth do we have the capacity to rule our country Nigeria, because we are shouting that youth should take over the problem is that even if the youth still take over there will be some people who will not be satisfied with that but as things goes on I think we should give the youth a chance let see their impact let see what they will do and how they will Carey out things

I for one, have stopped believing in that fake statement. In fact, this is a deceptive statement that has been used overtime to brainwash us the youths.
The 'tomorrow' we have been talking about is ' today' the present. We don't have to start ruling when we are in our late fifties or sixties.
Whatever happened to leadership in early thirties or forties?
If anything , this protest has shown that the youths wield great power to cause change. In other words, we are beginning to be the leaders of today NOT tomorrow , as we have been fooled for so long to believe.

I wonder, when we were kids our teachers will always say children are tomorrow's leaders, now it seems such adage was just a myth , I think the saying shouldn't be "children are the leaders of tomorrow "rather it should be "the elderly and the adults are the leaders of tomorrow",at least that is how it seems and that is how it has been through the years, or it shouldn't be "the young shall grow",it should be"the old shall oppress the young and starve them".

The reign of the old has come to an end, history will never be allowed to repeat itself, let's prove the motivational speakers right, even if most of the things said seem impossible, let the youths of this generation grow and be wise, wisdom is what is needed , we need to live comfortable lives not just for our unborn children but for our descendants, things can be done and great changes can be made, to stop this great nation from falling into the great pot of depression we should do something and do it quick, if we claim to be today's leaders, we shouldn't give room to the old ones who claim to have the country's history in a torn diary or off head, if I may ask what have knowing Nigerian history got to do with making Nigeria a better country and smoothly running its affairs?, Nigeria has been a developing country for 60 years now, if you ask me I will say a 60 years old man is no kid.

I am very sure that most youths as myself have been exposed to the sight of how developed, advanced, financially buoyant and privileged our mates are , I will say they ate more fortunate than we are and even most of our comedians use it and act it out also,I pray that more of our youths eyes be opened as I am very sure it already is to vote f or and change the craziness going on in Nigeria, God has the best plan for us coming 2023,I am very sure of that so let us be wise and vote for a changed future!!

The youth are still the leaders of tomorrow in all over the word, most especially Nigeria as a country as been in the habit making old people as their since the day one and all this are killing a country because old ones are having age limitation s while young ones are still very strong can do all things with ease because of their age. If a young should lead us for once tomorrow I believe Nigeria will be create and well developed. But this era we are the old ones are not given the youth chances to get their or even to be in the post for a minute of what they have in them to do. Many youths has planned so many ways to be the leaders but the old once are cutting their morals short. The same question have been asking myself lately.

Let take a look at the Nigeria society.the retired age in the constitution is 60 years but since it has been said that in Nigeria,laws are meant to be broken!the reverse has been the case.the only people that get to be removed from the office when their retirement age is due are the poor and those without connection.it is so sad that it is when these people are getting old,they start aspiring for those big big offices. We agree we are lazy youth okay?but if these people are coming there because they have our best interest in heart, to give masses hope,we will not have any problem with them staying for what seems like forever in the office but the reverse has been the case.

They are old,their intellect isn't working so well anymore in fact the only thing they are good at is money squandering and borrowing money all around till they turn us to slave by choice.

This is so sad!

We are aware that we are lazy and impatient like they say but if things has been done the right way from the start.A reasonable youth will calm and study his books knowing fully well that once he's out of school,he has the liberty to become the leader of the nation!.

Covid-19 came,with the way it started I was thinking it was going to wipe away all of them from the office and leave room for the youth to be leaders but I was disappointed yet again that leaving me to be believe that to enter politices or any big office in this country, you must be ready to get your hands dirty and these leaders have turn themselves to"the ugly ones that refused to die"

Am really afraid we don't have a chance again considering that even to protest peacefully as a youth of this nation is now a sin to the point they don't have any more conscious and if I dare protest even peacefully,they can kill me without bating an eye.All of these is just telling us that these people have forgotten the saying"youth are the leaders of tomorrow"and they don't have any hope or plan for us again, they have left us to our fate!.

It is only God that can come and intervene on our behalf and make us leaders of tomorrow!

The problem of our political system is not the issue of age, it is not the issue of party, neither is it the issue of years in power but rather it is the issue of mentality, it is the issue of readiness to serve and not to be served, it is the issue of love for power, it is the issue of love for authority. So, when we say the youth should go into the politics of this country, is it just for us to have a change in government with a younger person, or for us to just have a change in government but with a different political party. You see, it is high time we begin to see beyond all this little things we are seeing as the issue the politics of Nigeria is facing. Sincerely speaking, if we fail to control our love for power either by the youth or by the older ones, then this country is going to where, if someone can deem it fit to take the life of his/her fellow human being just in the name of winning election; that shows how desperate we are for power in this country.

The major reasons why I don’t see the coming of youth into politics as the solution to this menace in government is because of the way the youth are handling the Student’s Union Government (SUG) of higher institutions. If only we want to deceive ourselves, a lot of students union leaders are nothing but a viper, they are so corrupted to the extent that they embezzle at that grassroot level, what will they now do when they get to the top. The funniest part of this is that even the youths are still killing themselves while contesting for just an ordinary students union leaders, you can see how being desperate for power can turn a man too. This is what we need to work on.

Of a truth, our certificate of being the leaders of tomorrow is still very much intact but it is left for us to collect it from them. As youth in a nation like this, wishing for a change in power or let me say wishing for a change in political system cannot be successfully achieved if we are still doing it like this. Let me make something clear to us, this pattern the youth are using in clamouring for change in governance was the one those old men used while they were still young and so they clearly understands everything, that is why it is so easy for them to create a counterattack. That is why we need to change the way we are clamouring for change in governance which is by controlling our loss for power.

You see, a lot of those old men holding those political office have nothing to offer but just that they want to be in control at all times, they don’t want to be submissive to anyone and that we cannot guarantee because just as someone is answerable to you, you will definitely be answerable to someone. Everyone is shouting and talking about 2023, then I begin to wonder if only we will be truthful, honest and sincere about it; it is this same set of people that are clamouring now that will still be the one to campaign when they have call them into the inner room and give them some stipends, everything will come to normal and complaint will begin again after the election.

It is high time we begin to realize that if this country will be good again, then our political system must be revived and the only truth is that, it is only God that can revive our political system because it is getting to a stage whereby if you cannot waste a life, you don’t need to bother going into it.

We can't be fooled anymore. We have hoped for so long so isn't it better we take the bull by the horns.

I don't think giving it to the youth is the right thing to do.
But making sure the right person emerge as the president is the right thing.
It's not about being old or young.
It's about having the right virtues that enable you rule the country with great effect.
I don't think giving the youth the chance to rule is what we need right now.
But orientating each member of our society on good ethics and moral values is what we need right now.
We are a product of our society, and when when the society is corrupt, the members in it will be corrupted as well.
Which is what is affecting us in Nigeria.

I am saying that it is time that youth have to wake up and take what belongs to them right only because we have been in this for a very long time and they keep telling us that you need to is the leader of tomorrow.

They promised a whole lot for us what makes the practicability impossible indirectly and even directly he said they bring out not too young to rule policy but reverse is the case.

They called it not too young to rule but their target with so much big amount of money that The Young ones can never ever afford but they have the money to afford it and to give their children to get the ticket.

we can't be deceived this long again as our eyes are opened to the fact that forced to be the leader of tomorrow we have to take what belongs to us in the best way you can take it.

Part of the problems is that we see around us youths that are being brainwashed and enslaved or rather those that still benefit from them and they still going against the whole body of the news that are trying to fight for themselves and take what belongs to them.

if we don't have the right mind set of unity as youths and to take rightfully what belongs to us I'll say it will be hard for us to say that we are the leaders of tomorrow because the old ones do not want to leave the power again ever.

It's so terrible how the country has become in the hands of these old men called our leaders
We really need to try new things in this part of the world, the government really need to give the youth a chance to prove themselves.

@lilcent: Let let's me tell you exactly how I feele right now as the situation is not encouraging apositive change in Nigeria at all.

What I feel right now is that if the white can just come a second time to come and colonise us again I think the country develop much more than what we are on down now

I know that this might sound funny and with mix reaction they keep giving us empty promises and all that and the concrete looks like there is no future again for the masses what type of leader is aziza what leader does to destroy hope of the citizen

If I may simply clarify what I meant by a second colonization to take place is taking for example South Africa look at South Africa today, it is the presence of white that makes them this developed.

Black to blacks leaving black with a penury and killing the future of the unborn generation I feel sorry for our leaders

Youth are the leaders of tomorrow , those who are in our front are the ones misleading us thwy did nit show us thw right path to follow.

The past hero's like obafemi awolowo , namdi azikwe has done a great job to bring Nigeria foward during their time but the present government we have now are no ready to do anything except to miss usued all our Money.

Nigeria celebrate sixty one year of independent this year and nothing to achive all areas in the country are been corrupted.

APC and PDP the two party are full of lies they have nothing to achive we don't enjoy the government for onces .

If the youth are been opportund to be there will it be on a save side because they have poison the mind of the youth .

As the world is moving it move with advantage and disadvantage but the disadvantage is more .
Those elderly people are also trying their best but are the youth still leader of tomorrow if they give the youth the little chance I believe the youth will try their best.

When we say youth I has to go with experience and idea , knowledge.
Well said only the youth can not bring Nigeria back to position , we still need the support of those elderly one in the politics.

What we need in Nigeria is transformation and adequacy Nigeria can still change for better with good government and good leader.
