Akeem and other Oro worshippers were performing their rites when they discovered the church members were holding a vigil.
The Oro worshippers approached the prophetess ,Mercy Okocha and her members, instructing them to stop the vigil but they disagreed.
This disagreement was what caused an argument which resulted into a clash.
During the clash, one of the church members allegedly stoned Akeem with a coconut. He collapsed and started bleeding on the spot as some other members sustained injuries.
Akeem was taken to three different hospitals but was rejected because he had lost a lot of blood.
He died around 4a.m as he was being taken to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).
The church has since been deserted and the Baale of Gbirinmi, Oko -Oba, Razaq Alawode condemned the attack and is calling for justice for the deceased.
The police has been invited to restore normalcy in the community and have arrested the prophetess together with nine other members of the church.
This could have been avoided because Oro worshippers usually pass an information to the public before performing their sacraments.
**I love being me.**
Oro worshipers, these a dangerous people. I hope that the Christian did not back down in defeat.🙏
hmm this is bad, I pray justice will be served
This is total nonsense because the church are doing their own ,while those traditional people also doing their own too .
Religion is not to be causing problems all around face what you believe in and leave others everyone belong to different religion believe.
I will say it is the fault of the church even if they are doing traditional oro you as a Christian you should not fight them instead preach to them and talk to them about Jesus Christ maybe they will change and be born again.
When the clash occurred a person lost his life along the way then the police has come in to lock up the church so what is the church benefit at the end.
