Southeast Social Political group has expressed their displeasure at Atiku's promise of helping the southeast to produce the presidency in 2027 if they support him in his ambition of being Nigeria's president in 2023.

He made this promise during the PDP's Southeast Zonal Stakeholders' Meeting in Enugu.

The Ohaneze group insisted that it is the turn of the Igbos to produce the next president after President Muhammadu Buhari's eight years in power as a Northerner.

The group has emphasised through their publicity Secretary, Alex Ogbonnia, that no one would take Atiku's advice seriously because it is clear to all that it is the turn of the south to produce the next leader.

They further stressed that they were not in support of any person or group making such statements.

Lol, But come to think about it, Yoruba have ruled, the Hausans, and south south too. So giving the Igbos a chance isn't really a bad idea. But the place where the person is from doesn't really play a role on how the person will rule the country. I think its the ruler acts based on his or her beliefs
