This is the thread where all the articles relating to the rules of the point system are complied together in the order of their original dates.
Article 1
Originally posted on 16/June/2020: Make points and get paid N5.000 each time!
Logging in = 2 Points (once every 24 hours.
Inviting genuine new member to the forum = 10 Points
Important!
(a) The purpose of the point system is to encourage members to post comments that would benefit the forum. Such comments are expected to be rich with reasonable amounts of meaningfully worded contents: Please, write in standard English, applying punctuations and syntax, as any point made through comments that are not well arranged will be voided.

(b) Although, both Topic posts and Comments carry the same point rewards, but currently, in order to balance the activities of the forum new topic may not be rewarded unless it is of high quality, only comments that are made as reply to topic posts will be rewarded, meaning that, although creating a new thread is allowed, however any point obtained by starting a new topic may not count unless the new post makes lot of sense.

(c) You must remain active even while your payment is pending, and the Admin reserves the right to require of you to write a testimonial before payment.

(d) Logging in on block (multiple) days to accumulate points without contributing to the forum is a breach of the terms and conditions and could get you disqualified.

(e) In order to get paid, you must have a picture of you in your profile page.

Tip
In the registration form, there is a question that say: "Where did you hear about this site?" Inform the new member to select "From Existing Member", and then enter your Username.

Warning!
(f)*** You must not cheat the system by creating fake account to obtain 10 points as the referrer because, your entire points will be wiped off if you received 10 points from a new member who is inactive after registration.

(g)*** Whilst it is allowed to communicate with other members via private messages, the messaging feature must not be used as a means to accumulate cheap points: therefore, spamming or excessive use of the messaging system may get you disqualified.

(h)*** Warning: Plagiarism is strictly prohibited, whoever is guilty of a single act of plagiarism (copying and pasting) will forfeit all his or her scored points.

(i)*** Self plagiarism (by re-posting comments, or part of the comments which you have previously posted) will result in forfeiture of your entire points. Note: If you think it was not deliberate, then report it before it is detected by Moderator.

(j)*** Do not spam the forum by posting junks for the purpose of increasing your points, a junk comment is any comment that you would not have made if there is no point system.

(k)*** Generally, avoid cheating as any form of cheating will not be tolerated.

Finally, when you make your payment points, click on the "Submit" button and your points will be submitted. You can also contact the Admin with a private message, and if you have any questions, contact the Admin.

(a) As we all know, Beneyoyo is a free forum where you can freely communicate as you please, provided your activities are not criminal. However, reasonably strict rules do apply to the activities of those who are interested in the point system:

(b) It has been noticed that some people are just creating new posts after new posts without much interaction with other existing threads, and they do not engage with the new topics which they have created , these are not the kind of activities that the point system is designed for, the point system is intended to promote meaningful interactions and correspondences.

Therefore, if you have been involved in creating posts after posts without engagements, it is strongly advise that you balance your activities by making comments to existing posts: also, do not neglect your own posts, return to them to interact with people who are corresponding because, in the absence of interactions and correspondences, your accumulated points may be deemed invalid by negligence.

(c) It is a free forum, you are entitled to your opinions, you do not necessarily have to write only about facts or with knowledge on particular matters, you can merely ask questions share your own opinions, or even make comments in support or in opposition to other people's opinions: this is why it is called an interactive forum: disputes are very healthy in a forum like this.

(d) Unfortunately, many members think they only have to make posts, some have resorted to making the kind of posts that only experts are supposed to make: and they have therefore resorted to plagiarism (by copying and pasting articles that they know nothing about from the internet), some even resort to using word-rephrasing tools in attempt to present unique contents: but the thing is, even if you changed the words in an article, it will still be considered as plagiarism because, the information is plagiarised.

Series of plagiarised contents have been observed in several post and comments, and I perceive that the reason for the plagiarism is because, the posters wanted to make analytical comments on matters that they are not experts on:

(e) Therefore, as a measure to discourage plagiarism and encourage originality, members must NOT create or start educational post on scientific or medical matters if they are neither scientists nor doctors (they must not write emphatically or authoritatively on any subject of which they are not experts, they are only allowed to write about their own opinions or ask questions about such subjects.

The rationale for this decision is because, the only way that a lay-person can make posts or comments about matters that he or she knows nothing about is by copying and pasting articles from the internet: also owing to the fact that when a person copies and pastes such contents, the person never returns to the thread to answer questions which other members might ask regarding the giving subjects due to lack of knowledge: This is a strict warning to not make any post on scientific or medical issues if you are not qualified to make them.

It has been made clear that plagiarism will not be tolerated, and that a single act of cheating (even if you used word rephrasing tools) will result in your entire points being wiped off: in a nutshell, this forum wants viable original interactions, and not copying and pasting articles without even reading the contents of what is in the thread that you are pasting onto.

The reason for the point system is to encourage people to interact and to correspond with one another by making original posts and comments, and I reward people who make their own original comments: A single act of plagiarism will result in all your points being wiped off, as plagiarism is antithetical to the purpose of the point system, and therefore, it will not be tolerated.

Note that these rules DO NOT APPLY to people who are NOT INTERESTED in getting paid by accumulating points: such members are at liberty to do whatever they like as long as they are not committing any crime. So, if you are in this category, please, indicate so by sending me a personal message.

As for those who are interested in the point system, please, desist from making posts or comments that should be made only by experts because, if you made an expertise post pertaining to subjects that you are not an expert of, it therefore means that you plagiarised the information: and remember, a single act of plagiarism will get your entire points wiped off.

(f) It is frustrating that no matter how much it is explained to people that they do not need to make posts about serious academical or scientific subjects in order to make points: in fact, such articles are boring to the sensibility of many people, especially when they know that the poster is not the originator of the information: there is no logic in a 17 years old girl making a post about "the health benefit of bitter-cola": such instance shows only two scenarios: either she is writing utter nonsensical junk or she is disdainfully plagiarising: It is a different thing if the information is directly coming from a doctor who can answer questions relating to the subject.

(g) There is no delight in topics popping up here and there, but IF YOU MUST create a new topic, why not think about topics that people will like to read and respond to? Nobody wants to respond to a 17 years old girl making a plagiarised post on "the benefits of bitter-cola", (when was the last time you saw a 17 years old girl buying and eating bitter-cola?

In every aspect of life, creativity produces excitement and fun where-as, scripted activities could be boring.

(h) Please, avoid creating any topic with a single word title, ensure that the title is not vague and that it gives the reader an idea of what the article is about: any point received by posting a topic with a single word title will be voided.

(i) Important: You must remain active even after reaching the payment point, any point made in excess will be carried over to your next round of point accumulation.

Originally posted on 5/August/2020: REGULATIONS TO CONTAIN THE ABUSE OF THE POINT SYSTEM

First of all, take note that this article and the rules herein do not apply to people who have no interest in the point system.

(a) That apart, in case you are one of those who wonder about the rationale for desiring only articles with original contents, now, this is the reason:
If articles are copied from other sources and pasted into Beneyoyo, such articles do not have much value on Beneyoyo in that, search engines (such as Google, Bing, Ask, Yahoo, etc) do not feature results from websites with second-hand contents: search engine bots can instantly recognise the original sources of these articles, and therefore , they feature such in their results. So, while non-original articles may be beneficial for the readers, they do not help a website in search engines: rather, they hurt the website's reputation in search engines.

(b) The rationale for proper spellings and proper use of language syntax .
This is also based on search engine purpose in that, these bots are equipped with artificial intelligence that can easily detect misspellings grammatical errors and improper use of syntax, and they would prioritise properly written contents while relegating poor quality contents to hind pages: when was the last time that you used Google search and got results with poorly written English?

(c) Having continually been observing the behaviours of member in this forum, it becomes evident that many people are not being themselves, in that, they post things without bothering to proofread them for errors: please, bear in mind that whilst the point may be more important to you, the quality is more important to the forum, and therefore the best interest of the forum is of paramount importance.

(d) It is understood that nobody is perfect, and that anyone can make errors in spoken or written English, but there are some errors, such that even a 6 years old can easily detect, and yet, people are making posts with such obvious errors which would have been seen straight away with minimal proofreading: that is unacceptable. Therefore, any point made by making post or comments with obvious errors is deductible henceforth.

(e) Additionally, it has been observed that some people break their posts into segments by dividing a single story into sequences, thereby making series of posts out of a single story and naming the title with "Part 1", "part 2", "part 3" etc. That is a very selfish thing to do, and it is unacceptable because, readers must not be forced to search the forum for follow-up story parts. Therefore, whoever does that henceforth, will forfeit a double of the total points acquired from the segmented story. Meaning, if you got 15 points from the posts, 30 points will be deducted off: the double deduction is for the time and efforts it take to rectify such posts together.

(f) Consequentially, as a measure to contain the abuses of the point system while encouraging members to develop desired attitude toward the forum, the Admin deems it reasonable to restrict the maximum number of posts that a person can make in any given day to 4.
Alternatively, as the amount of points that a person can receive in any given day is 22 this now means that it is up to you to post as many comments as you wish in any given day, but your accumulated points will not exceed 22: this will now provide plenty of opportunities to make comments in more sections without worries about the low quantity of text in posts. while still giving them the time for reading articles on board, strategising their own contributions and proofreading their comments, etc.
Note: You can edit your post within the first one hour.

(g) This measure means that even though you are at liberty to make as many posts/comment as you wish in any given day, yet, only the points made from the four posts/comments which are considered to be the quality bests will be added to your points: and if all posts are deemed to be of unacceptable standard, then the Admin has the prerogative to use his discretion. If you have any questions, leave them in your comment.

It is long understood that most people have no idea of the rules before participating in the point system, and in their ignorance, they unwittingly commit unacceptable gross infractions before they become aware of the terms and conditions of the point system: interestingly, many of such people feel the needs to abandon their guilty accounts, thus creating brand new accounts in order to start afresh: some members even unnecessarily take laughable measures to deceive the system by altering their identifiers in hope that they are not noticed.

Well, just like in the case of an athlete who cheated in an early stage of a race, i understand that it will be counterproductive to continue to waste your time with a faulty-start knowing full well that you will be disqualified at the end of the race: Therefore, this is to advise you that you do not need to take any ridiculous actions by going through the process of creating a new account, all you need to do is to contact the Admin and request to start afresh, and you would be given the privilege to start afresh.

Everyone is required to comment in this thread as indications that the articles have been read, understood and accepted, only those who have no interest in the point system are excepted.
