Hazards exist in every work place in many different forms. Sharp objects or edges, falling objects, chemicals, noise and lots of other potential dangerous situations. It's required that employers protect their employees from work place hazards that can cause injury. Controlling a harzard at its source is the best way to protect employees. Depending on the workplace conditions, the use of workplace controls is recommended to manage or eliminate harzard to the greatest extent possible.

When the workplace and administrative controls are not feasible or donnot provide sufficient protection, employers must provide personal protective equipment (PPE) to their employees and ensure it's use.

Personal protective equipment, commonly referred to as ''PPE'' is equipment worn to minimize exposure to a variety of harzards. Example of personal protective equipment include such items as gloves, foot and eye protection, protective hearing devices (ear plugs, muffs), hard hats, respirators and full body suits.

To ensure the greatest possible protection for employees in the workplace, the cooperative efforts of both employers and employees will help in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

The employers are responsible for :
*performing a 'harzard assessment ' of the workplace to identify and control physical and health harzard.

*identifying and providing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for employees.

* training employees in the use and care of the PPE.

* maintaining the PPE, including replacement of worn-out or damage PPE.
*periodically reviewing, updating and evaluating the effectiveness of the personal protective equipment.

While the employees should :
* properly wear the PPE
* attend training sessions on the personal protective equipment.
* care for, clean and maintain PPE.
* inform a supervisor of the need to repair and replace the personal protective equipment.

**Happiness is free. **

I will call this safety tips. You are right. Every occupation has its hazards accompanied by disease or accident. And this depends on the profession you are in. The safety tips for electricians will eventually be different from that of the Doctors. Doctors deals with forceps, sharp instrument and also people carrying some disease that can be easily contacted. I know of a Doctor who contacted HIV from a patient. And till this day, he is regarded as an HIV patient but on drugs. So, in every profession, or occupation, or skill, or career, any thing you call it that you as a person is into, make sure you observe safety tips. Cause their are some injuries cause by hazard at working place that can not be correcting. Even in the home. Safety should be important. Safety is far better than cure.
